Member Testimonials
Reasonable price and instructors who are good with the kids.
Great facility. Loads of activities. Community based. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
The staff, especially the lifeguards and Helen Flanders and front desk greeters are all class people and good representatives of the Y.
I love the hours, sometimes it's most convenient for me to come later in the evening so I'm happy that you're open until 10 during the week.
Although I like a salt pool best, your lap pool is not overly chlorinated. That cuts down on my itchiness afterwards.
Enjoy the sauna after swimming, especially on cold days.
The cardio equipment is maintained, the heart rate monitors work
Parking is easy.
In the summer, nothing beats the 50 meter outdoor lap pool!
Courteous staff, lots of healthy activities for all members of the family.
We love UMLY CELC! Some great changes have been implemented over the past two years. Our daughter is thriving in the pre-K room. She loves all the exploration, hands on learning, creative play, and STEAM activities that have been embedded in the curriculum. Additionally, we love the music, nature, and gym specials the kids have each week. The new, larger classroom space is very nice and will get the kids ready for Kindergarten. However, I'm wondering if each "color team" could have their own smaller classroom space for small group/quiet activities. Overall, we're very happy with the CELC at UMLY.
Group classes, dance classes for my girls. STEM programs for my children and swim classes for my children
Group classes are excellent
The staff are great and take good care of my little!
Gym, theatre program (Janelle Brandberg).
instructor
I enjoy the bodyfit class on M/W/F - good exercise and core strengthening and gets me out of the house.
nice people
Everything - facilities, the grounds, the staff, especially the huge variety of exercise equipment on the 2d floor.
Best YMCA facility I've ever seen.
I love having the variety of services available to me in one place - tennis (indoors and out), free classes and the gym.
50m outside pool and Julie's spin classesk
Everything. I love this place. My quality of my life as well as my wife and children's lives has been dramatically increased since we joined the Y a few months back. I wish we had joined sooner.
Facilities especially the fitness center are top notch and the staff is friendly and well trained. But please enlarge the mind body room. The classes have become crowded, because they are excellent. Keep up the great work.
childwatch is great
I enjoyed the group exercises like body combat, body pump, CX, body attack.
We like the variety of opportunities to engage in exercise independently or in group classes
well designed and very effective program
The variety of programs for all ages and for the family
Meets my needs
very good program.
I saw lot of improvements made by YMCA Mainline. I am very pleased with one improvement that is providing information/ communication when changes to registered activity.
my Kids goes to swimming and I used to call when rain or snow but reaching Y on phone is a major hurdle and response is another major issue.
Now Y team is calling and providing information before activity in advance if any changes to program. my prospective this is very very good improvement.
Thanks for this change..
The program is great. It's very loud and busy in the pool area and our 2 year old hasn't been able to stay a whole lesson, but that's more about her than the program.
We love our swim teacher Andy! My kids love him and they’re making such great progress in the pool.
We also love open swim, but wish there were opportunities earlier the day - especially during the winter months when it gets dark and cold so early.
fitness center, pool

The staff is friendly/helpful, there are plenty of classes and activities, and the summer camp for kids is the best!
