From the front desk to the trainers to the instructors to the members themselves, you can count on an experience that will make you happy you included the Y.

I'm not sure anyone ever really wants to roll out of a comfortable bed and work out. But the Kennett Y makes it a lot easier. You know that you are in a safe, supported, fun, hard-working environment.

I look forward to every session no matter how short or long.

There are many choices of yoga classes and fantastic teachers. And atmosphere is lively!

Machines are well maintained. Staff is courteous. Building is generally clean. One suggestion is that you dust fans daily. I come in early and some fans are loaded with dust.

Dear Kennett YMCA,

Due to joints and old injuries, I have a difficult time with normal exercise programs and using equipment. I signed up for the water aerobics classes (deep water) more than two years ago. I am not a swimmer, nor did I think I would like being in a pool.

I absolutely love coming now! I totally enjoy how Leslie caters to our group of ladies knowing we need to keep moving. She is so upbeat and caring. She keeps everyone coming back for more!!

I was in my YMCA to obtain information about my health insurance, Silver Sneakers and my membership. Gail was VERY helpful and answered all my questions and took care of adjusting my membership. She is very knowledgeable and happy!

What do you like about your membership?

Everything - the staff, the hours, how the building looks and it’s cleanliness, the wonderful pool and the number of lanes available, the parking...

The ONLY negative is that my husband and I both used to be members at Kennett for years. You got rid of a bike he likes, the Expresso, and didn’t replace it. The Delaware Ys have it and it’s a great, although probably expensive, machine. He drives an extra 10 minutes each way to get to the Y in Delaware to use that machine. It’s regrettable that you don’t have it. So that’s been the only bummer, that we as a couple can’t belong to the same Y.

Love the facility and all the equipment. Only suggestion I would make is to have more treadmills and less bikes. Seems like there are always dozens of open bikes but treadmills are always filled.
