The friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the facility, and the many options for classes.

Variety of classes, so many more than Jennersville. I like the kids swim lessons in the little pool, too!

The facility is fantastic! Excellent Fitness Center, amazing Childcare and the staff is so friendly. I am extremely comfortable dropping my children off- the staff remembers their names and they are well taken care of. We love the programs there and my daughter loves swimming in the pool.

Staff very friendly, Jen Mincer is very helpful with membership questions, men's locker room is always clean. Kennett Y is very well run.

The included Kids Zumba & Hula Hoop classes for kids.

I like the variety of classes. The Y staff is friendly.

I usually take group exercise classes in the morning. I like how the group exercise coordinator Rhonda builds a sense of community. She incorporates the latest developments and trends into the program. Many of the instructors are also regular members who might be in a class with me one day and teaching it the next day.

I like the community bulletin board, the fitness challenges/contests that are run several times a year, the coffee and tables to sit.

I am disappointed that the Y has let Mike at the front desk go. I used to get a warm, personal greeting as I arrived every morning. Now I get a distracted greeting from an introvert working on a computer. During the busy times, it looks like there is enough scanning to keep someone who likes to interact with people busy. Why burden someone else with it who is apparently working on something else?

The variety and frequency of group classes is great. I also just love the "vibe" at the Y - there is always a buzz of happy people. It feels like a bit of the heartbeat of the community.

Friendly staff, clean facility, great hours!

I feel at home st the Y. I achieve health and a positive outlook on life because of the special staff and members!! The instructors are full of heart and encouragement! Even when I feel like I fell off the wagon of exercise and eating right, I know that I'll get right on tract again and it will be ok. It's a part of my day every day!!

The customer service, quality of equipment, camaraderie of members and community involvement all factor into the desirability of my membership!

The Kennett Y is more than a "gym membership". The Kennet Y is a real part of the community. It's a place that the whole family can enjoy as there are activities for children, youth programs, babysitting, as well as a good range of fitness classes, pool and gym.

The staff are friendly, the facilities are well-maintained and clean.

And, Y often participates in or hosts community events.

All the people we have met are friendly. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. The Y is always kept clean.

It is a well run YMCA very friendly and well maintained. I enjoy my workouts for an 84 year old trying to maintain my health and current physical conditioning.

Discount to school aged children programs

I like that the Y is close to my home, has convenient hours & is opened for morning hours on most holidays. Equipment is well maintained for the most part. I'm sure the paper towel dispensers on the walls w/a bottle of cleaner is much cheaper than the premoistened wipes that used to be placed at machines, but really dislike the method. Twice in one week I chased down the person who took the bottle back to their machine & asked them to spray my towel. If towels are empty or the cleaner isn't in place, you either have to perservere & go to the next station or give up and leave your machine unwiped. Recently on Saturday mornings all the cardio machines have been in use w/people waiting for machines to open. When machines are in high demand at such times, I do not think kids should be able to use the machines. The one morning, people were waiting for machines, and a girl was standing on a treadmill talking to her 2 friends. I really wanted to tell her to either use the machine or get off of it so that someone else could, but refrained.

The hours of operation

The small community vibe. Always greeted by name by the front desk (Jeannie in particular). The Group Ex instructors go out of their way to get to members and provide individual feedback. The camaraderie and mutual encouragement with the other Group Ex participants. The energy and passion of the staff and its members.

The atmosphere is relaxed and employees are friendly.
