My son enjoys his camp time and loves his counselors. He has had a great time with the swim days and all the field trips. He especially loved the alpaca farm and Top Golf! Bubble party was amazing! Great activities, counselors, and the price is great. Locations can be tricky, if you don't get the one that is convenient.
It was very convenient for our schedules. Our daughter really enjoyed being with her friends and trying new activities. There was never a day when she said she had a bad day.
Nice and quiet
I appreciated the variety of activities planned for the kids each week. The leadership for the program was phenomenal, and I felt like I could trust my kid to be treated with respect in the environment they created. This was an excellent way for my kid to get a break from school, have some structure, and engage socially with their peers. I'm so grateful for the North Kansas City YMCA Day Camp being able to facilitate my work schedule and provide excellent care for my kid. Thank you so much!
The camp counselors have made my son’s summer great! He was hesitant at first but got into the routine of camp & made a lot of new friends & loves it. He’s bummed it’s over! He came home exhausted every day so he was kept busy all day. They took good care of him and had his best intentions at heart. We can’t wait to sign him up for it next summer!

My daughter is happy and has lots of fun, the field trips are her favorite. I feel she is safe and the staff really cares for the children. We love Mr.Green, really great price and lots of schools to choose from.
My child really enjoyed the field trips, water days and LOVED the Kona Ice days. Teachers were great with communicating what was happening during the upcoming week.
The camp leaders and directors are great with the kids.

Everyone was super nice and my son loved it! We only went for a week and we saw one of the camp leaders out and she remembered my son. ❤️ can't ask for more than that.
My boys got to go on some amazing field trips that they really enjoyed and might not have experienced for a long time without their day camp. The enrichment activities that came to Cedar Creek were also great (reptile show, kona icee, cotton candy, etc) and the boys really enjoyed those experiences. It was also great for them to stay connected with friends from school they otherwise wouldn't have seen this summer and to meet new peers in the district.
My son loves that there are a variety of activities and field trips throughout the summer.
Appreciated the variety of activities any given week. Communication was great to help prepare for upcoming week. Also appreciated the cook outs as it provides a change in lunch.

The camp counselors made the summer fun! Camp was very organized and my child made lots of new friends! The pool and field trip days were so much fun, wish they could have a few more field trips or water splash days but everything was great! Thank you!

I like that they get to go on fieldtrips and the camp weeks are full of fun activities. The staff is very friendly and help making drop off easier by appeasing my children if they're sad. My children really enjoyed their time there and will miss their new friends and teachers.
Variety of activities every day - regardless of each kid's interest, there is something that everyone will enjoy EVERY day!
My daughter tends to be pretty quiet and it takes her some time to warm up and make friends. The way that they break the day camp into smaller "cabins" really helps her to be more comfortable and have some consistency with the other "campers" and adult leaders. Although it still took her time to learn names and make friends, I was so excited the other day when we were at a restaurant she said "hey mom, there's Jack!" She brought me over to talk with Jack and his mom, and it was so cool. :)
I also love that my daughter was able to do some "brave" things this summer at day camp. As a parent, I love seeing her overcome her fears in a safe way, with the encouragement of other caring adults. Getting the courage to go off the diving board was a huge win for her - and now she's obsessed!
I very much appreciate the patience shown to our son as he wasn't always well behaved. The activities, field trips, and spalsh day, were things he looked forward to.
I've had a consistently good experience with Sarah Zubeck, Ms. Emily, and Mr. Jacob. All three have been around for summer and school, and I would follow them to any site. The staff makes the biggest difference in the program. We went to a different site last year with a different staff set, and my child refused to go any more by the end of the summer. Sarah is a gem and makes the experience great for the kids.
Beyond the staff, my child likes the field trips and the different options throughout non-field trip days. He enjoys outside time, and movies, and likes when Kona Ice comes to visit.
This was a wonderful opportunity to introduce more structured day to my three year old. He had a wonderful time at camp and enjoy making friends. There were lots of opportunity for field trips and other activities. I think this will be a summer staple for our family going forward.
The staff, the activities, the field trips. The whole program is very well-rounded; my daughter loved every minute. I'm already looking forward to next summer.
The only suggestion would be to send a "Welcome" email detailing June & July activities - we received one last year that contained calendars, miscellaneous information, the permission slips etc. & it was absolutely fantastic & organized.
My son enjoyed the camp and was very happy with all the activities. Thank you for the wonderful care.
