We could not be more grateful for the incredible care our kids receive through YMCA (Y Care) at Harmony Elementary. Miss Bronwyn (Bee), Miss Lily, and Miss Jeanna are truly exceptional.
What sets them apart is how genuinely invested they are in each child. They don’t just supervise, they connect. They take the time to learn what each child enjoys, what motivates them, and how to help them grow. Our kids feel seen, known, and valued every single day.
They’ve created an environment that goes far beyond basic care. From supporting schoolwork and encouraging friendships to engaging the kids in fundraising efforts, theater, physical activities, puzzles, and logic-based play, they consistently provide opportunities for both fun and development. It’s clear they are intentional about fostering confidence, curiosity, and teamwork.
Most importantly, our kids absolutely adore them, and that says everything. There have been plenty of days when we show up for pickup and are met with very real groans because they aren’t ready to leave. As parents, there’s nothing more reassuring than knowing your children are not only safe, but genuinely cared for and excited to be where they are.
Miss Bee, Miss Lily, and Miss Jeanna deserve every bit of recognition for the positive impact they have on the kids and families they serve. The impact these educators are making will be felt by these kids for the rest of their lives. We are incredibly thankful for them.

My son has been attending Y-Club since kindergarten, and we truly love the staff. He’s naturally very shy, but within just a few months, I saw him begin to open up, which meant so much to me. Everyone is welcoming and creates a sense of comfort and reassurance for both kids and parents.
He genuinely enjoys being there he loves trying new activities and has built great relationships with his teachers and the support staff., The biggest sign is that my son asks me to pick him up late instead of early that says everything.
Ms. Rocyie is phenomenal, and we’re really grateful for the care and attention she gives.
My children have a wonderful time. I feel so lucky to have the opportunity for before/after care.
It is well organized, has a variety of stimulating activities and a wonderful staff that is kind, patient and caring. Our daughter loves it and never wants to come home!
The teachers are very kind and respectful to the children and parents, The site manager goes above and beyond planning special events for the children.
Ms. Janice and Ms. Hayden are AMAZING. Not only are they so happy to see our daughter at drop off but they help make our day so much better, too! Their smiles, compliments, enthusiasm, and just wonderfulness ensures that she is in the BEST possible hands. The program has also allowed our daughter to meet so many new kids at the school and make friends in different classes and grades.

We LOVE Ms Muna and Ms Bella!! Ms Muna makes sure all the children treat each other with respect while at the same time having fun. Ms Muna goes above and beyond by preparing special activities for the children all the time. I would like to request that more children be able to enjoy Y Care at Lakewood. I am worried that it will fill too quickly for next school year and my son will not be able to participate.
Hello, from last year in the Pre-K Y Club with Ms. Destiny and Ms. Shawna to this year with Ms. Mattie and Mr. Aaron and their crew, they have worked great with my Granddaughter. Welcomed her with open arms, directs and tends to her good and bad needs, interacts with the kids individually and in group settings. The communication is good and open door policy is appreciated

Love Mrs. Tonia and the staff. My kiddo loves going and is sad when its not open. It would be great to have them open on non school days (M-F, no holidays).

We have really enjoyed the program! The staff at Aspen Grove are what makes the difference. Miss Brazyl and Miss Violet are wonderful and the children love them.
The people at the central office are so nice and helpful and the site staff at the Lee's Summit locations run a great program! They create a fun and safe environment for all the kids there, they help my child calm down if he's upset, and always care about what's going on and how they can help. Every time I pick up or drop off, Maryssa especially is so engaged with the kids. Some staff even remember my older kids that attended the program in years past and check up on them.
The leaders are great with my son. They do a lot of fun and educational activities. I don’t know what I would do without y club!

Our daughter loves being at YCare! They have fun activities every day, and the leaders always make them feel safe and loved and cared for.
We also love the new snacks that are offered.
We love the YClub program. It’s very beneficial for parents who work retail jobs knowing that our daughter is in a safe and fun environment. We look forward to using it this summer for summer camp.
My child enjoys going there and all of the workers are great and good with the kids.
It is a great community of people who will support and help each other when needed. The Y Care workers are top notch people that will forever be members of our Spring Hill Community! We are so grateful for their loving hearts, kindness, and grace that is extended to our kiddos.

So friendly and convenient service for working parents! My child loves going to Y Club and asks to go most mornings, even when he doesn't have to go!
The SPE site leader is really great about connecting with kids and families! The kids get the opportunity to play, run around, and move their bodies before school starts which I believe helps my very active kid focus more in school.
I love Ycare at Lansing. Miss Tonia is quite literally the best thing that has ever happened for us. All the teachers are great, but she is so valued with her information she gives parents, to letting parents know incidents that take place. She’s great. My daughter loves everyone and is so much easier for me to not have mom guilt when she has to go because I work late.
