Love the instructors and the facilities. Just the parking price is the problem. i attend mostly before the charges apply but if i did have to pay i would consider changing gym. I go to Bolton Arena in the evening to avoid the charges. Is there no way of having the first hour free for the centre users?

The service is excellent friendly staff, the swimming experience is spoilt by swimmer who clearly should be in fast lane dominating medium lane cutting in front of people. There needs to be a proactive approach to encourage swimmers to use the right lanes.
It’s clear these individuals just want to overtake other swimmers to show they can swim fast and over take others swimmers

I went to an aqua class in the leisure pool, which was a nice temperature. It's much better than the new pool area which is always cold. Changing facilities are quite good and it was great to find all six showers at the entrance to the leisure pool working as so many times last year there were only half of them working. It's a shame that the cafe isn't open earlier in a morning as the vending machine for hot drinks can be temperamental & you can't guarantee getting a hot drink out of it.

The electronic booking paying system should be easier and faster. Last booking we were charged twice. So that's not right.
But the centres and the staff are good.

Good variety of equipment, classes, friendly & helpful staff.
I would only recommend one change:
1) Car Park charges are a bit extreme, and work out expensive if you use the gym on a regular basis. I understand there is need for some charge but when I first became a member we got our car park fee back which I used for my locker. I don’t feel safe parking my car on a free side street because I can only use the facility at night due to working full time. I feel there should be a reduced rate for members or perhaps a reduced fee for senior members.

Friendly staff and lovely lane swim pool
Plenty of equipment in the gym & the price of membership is very good.
Michelle on the front desk (reception) is extremely attentive. Welcomes everybody, always smiling, a very warning welcome each time. Also the cleaning staff work tirelessly to keep on top of the relentless work they have. The gym welcomes children and the mess they create is huge, yet the team constantly try to keep on top of it. The new equipment is great in the gym. The gym staff could do more to keep on top of the dirt and dust in the gym floor as there is large pockets of hair and dust collating in corners.

Such a friendly gym, the classes are all welcoming regardless of experience.
Really happy I made the move back to Active Tameside and the Medlock.
