Learning is Fun!
So much. At last night's show, I loved how supportive the big kids were towards 201. I loved the idea of keeping the front row open as much as possible for video. I love how the 201 instructor counted Aiden in for the vocals. I like how Jesse can be easily reached through email at any time. I like the relaxed environment of the place.
The schedule is convenient and flexible. The instructor works really well with the kids and is introducing them to many different types of music.
The only school that teaches music through songs and then teaches kids how to play together. No recitals, actual shows. Teachers are high caliber and motivating.
Our daughter really looks forward to and thoroughly enjoys her guitar lessons with her instructor Chris every week at The Albany School of Rock. Chris has proven to be very professional, kind, courteous and knowledgeable. In addition, Chris has been very receptive in teaching her the genres of music that she likes which has added to her skill level and learning experience as a whole.
Jesse the general manager has also been extremely kind, helpful and professional.
An added bonus is that both gentlemen have been extremely flexible in rearranging scheduling times and days of lessons when warranted and feasible due to changes in routine to daily life, school and family functions, additional activities and illness.
Our family appreciates and applauds these gentlemen for their dedication to music and mentorship to not only our child, but to all of the youth they serve.

A great experience from the beginning! Our son has enjoyed each lesson and looks forward to going every week. We are amazed with how much he has learned , and how far he's advanced in only 6 months! The music, the instruction techniques, and relevant choice of songs for this younger generation, is what makes the School of Rock unique and successful. We would highly reccomend School of Rock and their instructors!

Our 9 year old son was interested in taking drum lessons. It was important for us to find a place with great recommendations and instructors that would teach the music he is interested in and loves! They adjusted classes to his beginner level and he is actually playing, learning and doing great!

The staff is dedicated to the musical success of the students in a fun and effective way. They are friendly, professional and talented staff members who genuinely care about the students learning process. They have an open door policy for students to stop in for jam sessions and encourage it. This is an extremely organized and well run establishment. Our son Max has never sustained an interest in any one thing that requires learning or hard work. At School of Rock, Max can't wait to go for his lesson each week. He is eager to practice at home, and clearly feels a connection to Jesse. This is unique for Max. We can't wait to see where his lessons will take him. Learning guitar is the goal, but staying interested, learning that hard work pays off and that things are worth sticking with, even if they don't come easily, and having fun while doing it....that is priceless!
