Willingness to teach others. Welcoming and accommodating! Great atmosphere!
I very much appreciate the individualized instruction that takes into account my personal musical interests and influences. This model definitely sparks so much more motivation within me than others I have previously experienced.
Excellent communication, very nice people, patient individuals that truly care about growing talent with kids. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Comfortable setting, flexible and relaxed in-person teachers.
I feel like my skills are progressing quickly- I love challenging myself to learn new songs.
My son (almost 7) loves coming here, too. He composes songs, learns new ones each lesson. He is doing great!
I enjoy my vocal lessons at the School of Rock Albany very much. My instructor is professional, knowledgeable and makes things fun. I feel like I've learned quite a lot in just a couple months time.
Chris Maloy’s acumen regarding music and his ability to translate that into his teaching lessons.

The staff makes it a great experience!
My son is excited to go to his lessons every Saturday. I even signed up myself after years of hesitation- I wish I had done it sooner!
The guitar acumen and superb teaching ability of my instructor Christopher Maloy.
It’s fun and a challenge at he same time. Kind of like a sport without Much physical activity.
That it builds confidence in students--they are encouraged to try new things and tackle musical challenges;
Students learn to support each other. I leave every show feeling that the kids understand that 'the people are as important as the performance.' This is essential to me. Yes there will be mistakes and glitches --you support your bandmates and learn from the mistakes. You move forward as a team.

I love the atmosphere and how my daughter gets to connect with like minded and mature people her age. Plus the staff and training my daughter is receiving is priceless.
The instructors are skilled teachers. They know how to reach my child. Also management has always done whatever they can to help.
I like my instructors patients and acumen.
He is excellent.
I LOVE that the teachers promote individuality and respect students' diverse ways of expressing themselves. The teachers push students out of their comfort zones to try new things, but always do so with support, compassion and in collaboration with the student. Luke's confidence as a drummer has increased to the point where he has formed his own band and pursued gigs outside of SoR. Most importantly I appreciate that the teachers have taught the students to support each other no matter what. They cheer each other on, fill in when someone needs support and I generally feel that they understand that the people are as important as the performance.
The approach they use it is fun an encouraging
I really appreciate that the studio lets students use rooms for practice when they're available. This was a feature I couldn't find anywhere else, along with the excitement of being able to perform with a real band.
