A great opportunity for these kids, they learn about working together as a team. They learn about the history of the music as well as how to play the music, which adds so much to the experience. SOR helps build self confidence and maturity as the kids progress.
Within just one session, we noticed a huge confidence boost in our child, and he’s now on a journey to be a multi-instrument musician. The staff is fantastic, and they really excel at making music a truly enjoyable experience.

SOR has been a very rewarding experience for my child, it isn't only about learning songs and playing instruments, it's about learning an appreciation of the history and significance of music, and the importance of working together to achieve a goal.
It has been very positive. Without SoR, these kids (who are musically inclined by uninterested in High School band) would have no place to develop. SoR has been a blessing for our son.
It’s fun
I like how the instructors in the performance program give every kid a chance to do lead on a song. I think that's great.
Dave and Sean are both great drum teachers- low stress and easy going but also pushing my son in the right direction. Just what my kid needs.
My son has been pushed personally and musically to try new things, believe in himself and work hard for what he wants. He came to SOR as a guitarist, at the last show he played every instrument!

I love that they’ve been pushing me beyond my own expectations- if you had told me a year ago that I’d be singing and playing guitar in a band with other adults, I wouldn’t have believed it.
My son (7) started taking (drum) lessons before I signed myself up. I can see the focus on his face as he’s practicing the songs he’s learning. He actually learned one of the songs I played in my performance, so I picked up my guitar and played along with him. It. Was. Awesome. And he knew it, too. It’s so amazing that we get to have this experience together.

My son has been part of the program for 3 years now. He has excelled in it. The school of rock does a great job of teaching and putting real life into rockstar. The events of going out into public venues and performing as a band are so unique and priceless.
Making music something for everyone! Meeting kids where they’re at and appealing to their love of music has made this experience something our daughter looks forward to every week. She’s still challenged but feels supported by the staff. She loves the 1:1 attention of private lessons and then can build those performance muscles in the studio setting with a group. We’re very happy to have found SOR.
