I love the program. My only suggestion is that I'm still unclear about what the expectations are (and whether they are enforced) around hearing protection in the Rock 101 program. My child is never reminded to put in ear plugs. I would suggest you implement a policy, clearly communicate it to parents and students, and then enforce it consistently so there is no wiggle room or confusion. Thanks!

Not only is my son learning how to play the drums and bass, he gets the experience of performing. He also gets to meet other kids who like music too!
The staff is so nice and welcoming. My son enjoys attending rock 101 band sessions & the 1 on 1 guitar lessons. The instructors and staff really seem to care very much!
We've only been attending SoR Gilbert for ~month but so far everything has exceeded expectations. James the bass instructor is so positive, friendly, and helpful. My son is coming home every week excited about what he learned and I'm amazed at how fast hes learning new songs and techniques. The staff is also so so so friendly. Every single interaction I've had has been positive, welcoming, and customer oriented. I would not hesitate to recommend to others.
The instructors are great with the kids. The atmosphere is positive and inviting. My son always said it felt like family when practicing with his group. Both he and my daughter love school of rock - gilbert!
The School of Rock does an incredible job with young musicians. Their staff is talented and and know and understand how to inspire and bring the best out in their students. The performance opportunities are amazing, well run and organized, and the staff is always welcoming and friendly. School of Rock serves as a 2nd home for our son.

I’ve been singing for years, but took a long break. When I decided I wanted to get back to it, I signed up for a free vocal lesson. I was really in the right place at the right time, because the teacher assigned to me is amazing...kind, knowledgeable, and a professional singer, so he really knows what’s up. Everyone is warm and friendly...such a great place for kids and adults alike. ❤️

The rockers (students) REALLY matter at School of Rock! My son has gained confidence and has really learned a lot in a very short time. It's the BEST extra-curricular activity we could have encountered!

How much you treat my child like he's a person and not just a revenue stream. That you are invested in the community and strive to make each student and parent feel welcome and apprecited.
My son began playing guitar with an individual instructor (outside the School of Rock program) when he was 6. He had a good instructor and enjoyed playing but there was a lack of a near-term goal he could relate with.
When he turned 7 he started in the Rock 101 program. He immediately enjoyed playing with other kids his age. The format of short "seasons" and the students rehearsing for an end-of-season show gives him something real to work towards. He knows he needs to practice and wants to practice so he can perform his best with his band friends.
Now he's 8 and recently "graduated" to the performance program. He's nervous and excited to be playing with kids older than him. But even with the pressure, he is reassured because all the School of Rock students, instructors and staff are always friendly and supportive.
Has taught my daughter so much in the past 2 years - she has progressed with her guitar playing even playing with adult professional, old school rock bands! It’s been great! Thank you!
The fact that my child enjoys it, it is age-appropriate pedagogically, and he learns to work with other children. Also I like that he listens to other kids play, and learns to be an audience and appreciate them.
School of Rock provides musicians of all ages and abilities an opportunity to learn and perform in an a fun and supportive environment.
I like how not only does SOR make children/adolescents into incredible musicians, but I love how they promote individuality, instill self confidence and happiness into each individual which carries through every facet of their lives. I wish I had this opportunity growing up. Our entire family would not trade it for anything!
