The group rehearsal
I think that the program is very well run - having the students be part of a band throughout the entire year is vital to proper learning. I can say Xavier has really come a long way since starting at the School of Rock only 6 months ago. I am proud to say he attends the School of Rock. Also, the social element that is created during the band sessions is great for the growth of all the students. Xavier has had nothing but good things to say about all the instructors he has interacted with to date. Great Job!!!
You guys are great with our 3 year old he looks forward to class every week . And Drama is amazing
A great program. Wouldn't change anything, it works for us.
Our daughter was nervous but had so much fun and learned a lot! We loved seeing the kids perform at the end of the week, they obviously had very good teachers.
Fantastic instructors and administrators and a great selection of classes and programs.
Jodi was awesome!
the teachers are engaging and they really believe in the kids. my son has been going to school of rock for eight years now, I never would have guessed he'd stay with music so long but he loves his time at SoR he just never wanted to stop going!
Attentive, positive and fun teachers. The program is well run and very responsive to parents and kids concerns. Great to see these kids bond and work together. It’s been a great experience for our son!
It’s fun
Our kid feels valued by School of Rock Lynnwood. He’s grown as a musician and as a person in general. He loves it.
Adding a performance component to lessons makes so much of a difference in our son's playing! Being part of a band teaches these kids how to work together, and pushes them to be the best musician they can be. We also love the community we've made as a family at SOR.
There's a real "community" vibe ... the people are nice.
Really great teachers. I have improved my skills a lot after joining the program.
The teachers are fun and engaging.
I have already recommended this program to multiple contacts. My kids love coming to their lessons. I believe this is because the SoR focus is on achievable and interesting goals for kids. The management works hard to fit with your schedule and we’ve been very happy with our time here.
The summer camp was great! My son had a lot of fun. Thank you.
SoR Watertown has made a huge difference in my daughter's life. She had been playing music since she was very young, but once she hit the teenage years, the traditional music programs were not exciting her anymore. At SoR, she's found a community of teachers who have really energized and excited her about music again. They know how to take a balance between guiding the students, and letting the students figure out their own paths in music. She's been connected to many great friends and a safe environment at SOR. I can't recommend this place enough!
Alex is an exceptional leader of our group. Very talented and very organized!
Christian is a phenomenal drum instructor!
My favorite aspects of the program are the instructors and staff at SOR Watertown. They are beyond outstanding. PASSIONATE, helpful, CARING, joyful, PATIENT, PROFESSIONAL, wealth of knowledge, and just awesome humans that I enjoy learning from. Very rarely in the real world do we find that level of support, encouragement, and the space needed for bold expression; where failure is embraced so that we can forge the path to growth authentically, individually, and artistically. A special thank you to my director Jorydn, and instructors Rianna and Dacey from my first season, Spring 2023 Adult Band. They have generously shared the tip of the iceberg of their genius with me. I look forward to continuing to learn from you all! The path to creative innovation and discovery, no matter the profession, requires enduring failure and taking risks. Failure is uncomfortable, and scary sometimes. My mentors at SOR continually help me find the courage and confidence within to take risks, explore, and "crash and burn" on a song, and then provide tools so that I can learn to embrace the process and explore my love of music. This notion is key for many aspects of life and the creative process within.
School of Rock is awesome! My teacher Scotty, is very helpful and very supportive. Love the programs.
My son loves it and he has learned guitar so quickly. And he is very interested in the music they learn.
We like the availability of the performance camps all year long.
I'm enjoying making music with other people again. It has been a missing piece in my life for a long time.
I just went to see my sons first live performance, and it was awesome. I was really suprised to see that all of the kids in his band played very good and in time.
Love pretty much everything about the program! Great structure with the one band rehearsal + one individual lesson a week. It's enough to make steady progress but not so overwhelming it blocks out other activities. My daughter is absolutely buzzing with energy after every group rehearsal! Already looking forward to the next season.
The only suggestion we would have is around encouraging more creativity within the songs. I'm sure it makes it more accessible for all levels of experience to play a more straight up cover of each song, but for those students who can or want to interpret in their own "voice" would be great to at least be able to explore it with the band to see if it works.
The weekly lesson combined with the band rehearsal provides a fun outlet for my creative kid. The performances are always so amazing!
