We were hoping for a way to build a love of music and excitement to play an instrument in our son without pressure or nagging. The Rookies camp was a perfect fit. He was able to explore instruments, and able to capture the joy of playing "real" music with a band through the support of his teachers. They encouraged him to take on challenges, and when he felt frustrated they backed off before he grew wary. We are now looking at different drum set options.

Students learn and play new instruments. They get a great confidence boost from performing live. Interacting with kids that have similar interests builds character and friendships. This is an amazing camp that our son looks forward to every year!

Opportunity for kids to socialize
My son loves it and remains cool even for a teen ager. But I really wish that the last day went until 3:00 with the concert spanning 2-3. It is very expensive compared to other camps and the last day is way too short for working parents.
