This place is a 10 out of 10, school of rock builds a community that is unmatched by anything I've known. The instructors know what they are doing and are happy to help kids learn their instruments. All of the instructors that I have had the pleasure of meeting have always shown that they are proud and know I will succeed, for example: Timmy, Madison, Mike, kit, and a lot of others are just so nice and kind to me and everyone who is in the building.
The options to have both group lessons and private lessons. As well as performance practice that lead to actual performances is unique and awesome.
Love the environment and the availability of options. Team has been great at communicating. Seems to be good people doing good things.

School Of Rock does a great job of teaching while also promoting self confidence through their performance program. Being part of a group each season has not only helped my child make amazing friendships but also fosters team work and communication with others. She truly enjoys her time there and looks forward to going!
I love how school of rock instills a confidence in my son. Learning something new like an instrument is a great way to earn confidence. Watching the kids perform and see how they go from nervous to Little Rock stars is really awesome.
Teachers are communicative, selection of songs that students are exposed to are fun, diverse and keep students interested. Teachers push students to work on their craft; the end of the season rock shows are fun to watch.

My son has been attending SoR San Mateo Performance Program for about 6 months now, and his time there has been consistently positive. I'm delighted to have found the school because I wanted him to connect with other kids who share his interest. His guitar lessons and band practice sessions have significantly enhanced his guitar skills. The performances at the end of the season has been enjoyable for him and for us, parents, too. Also, the staff/coordinators are approachable and quick to respond to questions or concerns.
I like the fact that the teachers are all understanding, encouraging, caring and shows all kinds of enthusiasm towards the students as a sign of we could do it. From my very own personal point of view, I think that School of Rock is cool and totally an awesome place for those who are interested and for those who would like to find another avenue to go to play all types of genre of music. Go School of Rock!!!!!
I like the group practices and encouragement. They want them to commit and practice but there is not intense pressure. Also performance can be stressful and regularly performing makes it easier to get used to doing.
I don’t like the pickup policy and it bums me out that my child who is independent and bikes everywhere on her own can’t come and go from practice like other activities she does. I’d be happy to sign a waiver to allow it but she is not 13.
