As a woman with ADHD, I struggled to motivate myself to plan workouts and go to the gym/open workout classes myself. I love Orange Theory workouts because all I have to do is show up and listen to the instructors and I know I am going to get a great workout. Also the visuals of seeing the colors of the zones I'm in and the splat points are great motivators for me! I also love how there are adaptations and different levels to push yourself within, so even if I'm not top of the class, there are markers I can push myself towards at my comfort level. And I like the variety, I'm never bored because every few minutes the activities switch to something else. AND as someone who gets migraines, the orange lighting is a huge plus! I was inspired to try Orange Theory because I wanted a morning workout to motivate me to get up and get moving, something to get me energized to start my day. I tried the first free class and immediately signed up, it's just what I was looking for. Another part of the sign up process I really respected was how I mentioned that this was not about weight or weight based goals for me, and then none of the staff mentioned weight or anything like that from that point onward. That was really soothing and made me feel great about the atmosphere at the Roscoe Village Chicago location. Shout out to Lau and Rachel for making my first class and entire experience so fun!

It’s been challenging but nonetheless rewarding for this newbie. I know it’ll take me a bit to get acclimated but so far I’ve enjoyed the classes even while feeling behind. I’ve been to Matt’s classes so far and he has been phenomenal! When I wanted to quit my first class, he encouraged me and my cousin not to. He saw us through it and made it a great experience. I ended up joining because Matt and Angela did not push us beyond what we could handle but did not quit on us either. I don’t know how Matt does it but he’s been very attentive without skipping a beat with the other guests or the flow of the class. I look forward to meeting other trainers as well. So far I’ve only been to Matt’s classes but if the other trainers are all as great as he is to work with, I’m not going anywhere else!!! Thanks Matt and Angela for your kindness, encouragement and professionalism! See you in class!

I love the full body workout, I leave Park Ridge OTF feeling extremely challenged but confident that I was able to get through it. I'm older and have not been to a gym in a while -- the coaches are amazing, they push/encourage you to reach your potential without pressure. I initially joined OTF 3 months ago to primarily serve as a stress outlet, but now I go because I love the workout. The music is fun, I especially love the 90's hip hop and the heavy rock (but that's my era :) ). Thank you Park Ridge OTF!
