The BEST, most thoughtful staff. There’s always space for my dog and she is very happy in this social doggy setting.

Love how they put dogs in rooms based on their size. We also really enjoy the fun events with a cute picture. The staff is absolutely amazing.

While the Dogtopia staff were notably friendly and helpful (props to Matt the marketing guy, who was extra kind to my preschooler!) I was not impressed by the overall experience.
One of my two dogs, a 5 month old puppy, did not enjoy the large group and her fearful behavior was evident on the video screen in the lobby. Despite my having indicated before the Meet and Greet that I wanted to avoid flooding my pup during a fear period, the front office staff repeatedly discouraged me from removing her, and dragged their feet when I firmly requested that she be returned to me immediately. Given that my pup is generally outgoing and confident (as the staff verbally noted during the first part of our meet and greet), I had hoped that staff performing a temperament evaluation would be better trained in recognizing fearful behavior, or at least that the ‘canine coach’ in the room would respond in some way, as my puppy vacillated between hiding in a corner and trying to climb the humans’ legs with a tightly tucked tail. I observed several other dogs who also appeared distressed in the large group. At one point during my visit to Dogtopia a local dog trainer even came into the office to ask staff to intervene for a particularly overwhelmed dog who was visible through the outdoor windows, but she was unable to speak with staff before she needed to leave for an appointment.
Thankfully, my adult dog seemed happy and confident in group play, so I left him to play for a few hours after his 11:00 am Meet and Greet. When I returned for pickup at 3:30 pm the staff had turned over completely, which makes sense given the schedule. Unfortunately, the morning staff apparently did not note my dog’s appearance or mark a name on his temporary collar, so the front desk had to ask me to help them identify and locate my dog. Certainly mistakes can happen, but as first impressions go this was not confidence-inducing, and I was initially concerned they might have sent my dog home with someone else.
Once we’d found my dog, the staff was then unable to locate his leash or collar. Apparently these had also been misplaced and/or unlabeled, as the very apologetic staff only found them after I rang the collar’s AirTag several times to assist them in locating it by sound.
Overall, lovely staff but the systems/processes could use some work and I have significant concerns about the welfare of smaller or less confident dogs in this setting.
Having larger quarters for the big dogs to sleep in.
Amazing staff, made me feel so comfortable leaving my fur-child with them. I love all the services they offer and how open their communication is!

I love how you guys help out with so many dogs but it does seem like there are a lot of dogs in one space. I know you have multiple rooms, maybe have something outside for them too? I'm not complaining at all because you are taking care of all of our furbabies and we appreciate it so much!
You can feel the love they have for dogs the moment you walk in! Super attentive and knowledgeable about dog behaviour.

As my Mom used to say: “If you like to do something, you will enjoying doing something and also you will do it excellent” I like the environment of the location and for sure the smile of the friendly staff.
