The air needs to be fresher and circulating. Also, the room temperature should be better controlled, especially when there are many heat-generating bodies in the room. :-)
Very friendly, knowledgeable staff who provided prompt service. All were very inviting, welcoming, encouraging and accommodating. Amy was a wonderful first contact with the Studio and because of her demeanour and service, I was so very inspired and signed up and attended class that same day. Instructor Hali was fabulous. Very open, present, friendly and quite remarkable that she made a special effort to personally connect with each student in such a large class. She was also very knowledgeable, non-intimidating, encouraging and humorous and created a comfortable atmosphere for everyone of all ages and abilities to enjoy yoga. She also stayed after class to attend to each student's needs in a caring and supportive way. Thanks to all the staff & instructors at Semperviva for your dedication to living yoga.

I like most of the teachers and the newer studios.
Although I do wish there were more classes at certain times.
I work tues to sat 10-6 so I don't have a lot of options for the night classes
Except the 7 or 730 and some evening like Friday and sat I don't have that becaus I only like going to Hatha or power flow.
Clean studios with lots of props in good condition. Well trained instructors. Lots of classes available. Usually lots of adaptations given for poses so that all levels can participate, as well as most instructors do a good job of demonstrating the poses as well as explaining them. The only problem I have is a personal one; I am hard of hearing, so if instructors use too quiet of a voice, or have music playing too loud during instruction, I have trouble hearing. Most of your instructors are quite good about their voice levels, but I have encountered a few who tend to use what I call their "soft and calming yoga voice." It might be relaxing for others, but I can't follow their instructions!
The fans are very noisy! The acoustics in the room are not the best... it kind of feels like sound travels into a void. Maybe some foam padding on the roof would help this?
It's a nice space - good atmosphere. And I love the free tea!
After my first session, the teacher approached me and we talked about my limitations. She then recommended other teachers and classes that she thought might be beneficial for me. I really appreciated her help and I will accept her suggestions. I look forward to the classes she recommended.
I like the variety of teachers and yoga styles
I prefer the Sea studio over Semperviva's other studio's because I really like the location on Granville Island, it's proximity to water, and the fact that it is further east than the other studios. I live in east Van and most of the other studios feel very far west for me. Also, the Sea studio has a much more chill vibe than the other studios, which I enjoy.
The location, the staff and the teachers. I particularly enjoy Angie's class on Tuesday morning. She is very good with gentle feedback and varies her classes to make them always interesting and helpful. I'm sorry Bernie won't be teaching Yen on Thursday evening but I'm sure whoever takes over will do well, just as the person filling in last week did.
Friendly, clean, positive atmosphere
Lots of classes at convenient times, friendly staff, helpful and inspiring teachers, overall welcoming and positive energy. Semperviva feels more like a community than any other yoga studio I have been to.
The granville island studio was a gorgeous place to practice on a sunny summer evening!! I regularly practice Bikram yoga but thought I would take advantage of a groupon to try some other kinds.... I took a Hatha class earlier this week with your studio and really enjoyed it! Nice change of pace. I felt fabulous after class, energized but relaxed at the same time.
I'm not sure about having carpeting at a yoga studio... How often is it cleaned? I mean REALLY cleaned?
I love the variety of the teachers. Even though I only do Hatha classes I find that each teacher brings their own unique style and philosophy of yoga to the practice. I do have my favourites and I try to go to their classes whenever possible. However, I find that there is always something new for me to learn from each teacher. The consistency of focus on yourself and freedom to change the practice as we see fit runs though all classes. I appreciate that focus on the individual needs.
I also love the number of classes that I can choose from. It makes doing yoga very convenient.

Excellent instructors! I mostly go to Cameron's classes and he is a wonderful teacher. I never feel embarrassed or uncomfortable just going along at my own pace. He makes everyone feel as though they are truly doing a great job.
