Zoe is 8 months in and on track for a solid A+ in math this semester! She loves coming to this center, never wanting to skip a session. Even though one opened closer to our house, she loves the instructors here, so we are staying put. She enjoys math now, and is no longer behind her grade level. My daughter had major math anxiety but also didn't want to talk to her teacher about what she didn't understand. Mathnasium is a 'safe place' for her to ask her questions! It doesn't matter who she is paired with, she always enjoys her time working on her problem sets from school or the work in her binder. After our first visit, she didn't want to leave when her hour was up. I love the flexibility of scheduling and the laid back atmosphere. I know my kid is getting what she needs and she is excited to DO MATH which is insane to think about considering all the resistance we experienced from her around this subject. I'm always happy to leave a review and promote Mathnasium based on results and the amazing service we receive. My daughter looks forward to coming every week because she knows that the tutors at Mathnasium will explain, in a way she can understand, anything she didn't "get" from the teacher that week. Oh, how I wish I'd had Mathnasium when I was in high school! When I come in to pick up my daughter, I'm always greeted warmly and I'm made to feel welcome. For as many students are there it's surprisingly quiet as each student is highly engaged. I especially love how independent the students are, checking in and out without prompting or prodding. So, the results? My daughter is thriving in higher level math courses and even enjoys math (a little)! I think what she enjoys is the confidence she never had before coming. I've noticed her confidence and grades improve across different subjects even as her courses have increased in difficulty and intensity. Nice bonus for her! Finally, I'll mention the investment...it's more affordable (even for a single mom of 2) than a private tutor and the flexibility of scheduling is a must for our challenging schedule. Mathnasium did an outstanding job of identifying my son's mathematical shortcomings. My son was able to work at his own pace and without pressure on mastering his math skills. The tutors were very helpful and provided great feedback after each session. Reassessments of his skills throughout the program indicated that he was making good progress. We were very pleased that after six months he was able to receive credit for Algebra 1 at the end of eighth grade and start high school taking geometry. My daughter had 16 sessions at Mathnasium this summer. She has improved with her math skills.. we live in Mobile, AL and do not have Mathnasium here... I would certainly sign her up if it was available here..the instructors seem to be genuinely concerned and helpful... my daughter enjoyed going to her sessions..she recently had her 1st math test in school and scored 88/100.. a lot of math skills that she had on her test is material that was covered at Mathnasium..I would highly recommend Mathnasium and would love to see a center in Mobile,AL
Everything was great. We were just having trouble being consistent with making it...so it became too expensive for us to miss so many classes.
We love Mathnasium! My daughter feels empowered with math when she leaves. It is a great assist to have in our community. The staff makes it fun for the kids to learn!
