Fortunately the facility is on my doorstep, within walking distance.
On approach to the recreation centre, the amount of litter is off putting. Unfortunately the facility is shared with Copley Academy, where the children don’t seem to care about shedding litter.
Inside I am greeted by friendly reception staff, the same on the poolside. I am on first name terms with most of the staff, which is nice.
Since lockdown has eased, the cleanliness of lockers and cubicles has slipped slightly, I put this down to quick turnover of sessions. I take my own cleaning products and microfibres cloths over sometimes, but maybe I’m a bit paranoid as being one of the old and vulnerable.
All I want is to keep my health and fitness and Copley Recreation is helping me do so. I’ve just signed up for another year, May it continue.

The centre is run to a high standard and the staff go about their business in a very efficient manner. The gym, of which i attend, is excellent and is always clean and maintained to a high level. Would recommend it to anyone.

The centre is clean and efficient the gym is spacious and well equipped. The sauna and steam room are large and well maintained.

I love the crèche facility, and the crèche staff Jo and Becky are amazing with my son. Also their event/activity days are so thought through and fun for all. Chris on reception is the friendliest and most welcoming person and always acknowledges me by name , the majority of the staff have taken the time to know me by name, and also know what kind of activities I like.
I love that I can take my 2 Yr old swimming on my membership, at both the wellness centre and to wally walrus at Hyde too. The gym staff Collette especially is also very friendly, helpful and knowledgable, and always takes the time out to say hi when you see her.
Wednesday is our favourite day, my boy goes in the crèche while I work out, then we sit in the communal area have a snack and read a few books before we swim. We both get to do something we enjoy, together and apart at the same time.
The classes are great and run by professional smiley people, happy to answer any questions.
The gym is welcoming to everyone, and there is a large variety of people at all different levels of fitness that frequent it, which is super lovely to see and be apart of.
I love it here, I even sometimes get to really relax there on rare occasions and use the sauna and steam room. (This I wish I could do more, but that's on my family not the centre🙊😭).
All in all I love everything about this place. I do recommend it to friends, and have occasionally even recommended to new people I meet. I've told them about the crèche and have seen them make use of it once or twice.
Like the back care class. Just wished u would run a Live water workout class like the one at Hyde which is always oversubscribed.

Very pleasant and helpful staff 😊!!! I have only attended aquafit at the wellness centre so far and still attend other venues in the borough.
I must comment that as aquafit is notoriously difficult to obtain a place ,unless you book the day it becomes available and then ASAP, wouldn’t it be a case to argue to put more sessions on especially during the day , maybe 8.30- 9 am before schools attend and after 7.30 in the evening to allow more people to benefit !

The gym, the classes and facilities. There is a large car park and all areas are clean.
The cyclefit class I attend on Tuesday morning at 10.30 has an excellent instructer. Friendly approachable and the clas is varied and challenging.
I also attend the gym. Again the staff are friendly and approachable.

Staff are always so helpful. Gym is set out really well. The new pool is amazing .
For the services I use there is always an excellent instructor.
