Our son loves feeling like a rockstar, and School of Rock allows him that experience from a beginner skill level, which really inspires him to practice and improve his music. He loves going each week.
One of the strengths of School of Rock are the instructors/band directors. They are amazing musicians with excellent personalities which makes inexperienced players feel comfortable.
Also, when you walk through the door there is a great feeling of welcoming and always positive atmosphere. School of Rock is a great place to takes lessons as well, in only a handful if lessons i was able to go from never playing the drums to being able to learn the basics.

We love the teachers and the tone of the school. It is welcoming and accepting of all ages/talents. My kids have loved it!
Incredible experience. I never thought I would be able to play guitar. Yet, not only am I learning to play but I am part of a band. They do an amazing job teaching the students one on one, setting up the band, coordinating the events, etc. How they have time to do all of it is a mystery.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to learn to play an instrument or loves music.

I started playing the drums later in life (at 63). I just want to have fun, and my instructors have accommodated that desire nicely.

They build confidence and offer a connection to music, musics history and bring together kids who might not have the chance to connect otherwise. The staff are warm, talented and truly something special with all the kids. They pour their love of music into the heart and soul of teaching kids to love it as much.
My daughter, Scarlett, takes drum lessons with Simon. Prior to taking drum lessons, Scarlett was taking violin lessons as part of her school's orchestra. As she was interested and more importantly excited to learn how to play an instrument, she picked out her violin and proceeded with her lessons. After a few months and a lot of tears, Scarlett resigned from violin lessons feeling defeated. That same week, we explored other instruments and decided that the drums would likely be a good fit. I called School of Rock and a new drummer was born! From her very first lesson with Simon, it was a match. Scarlett insisted on weekly sessions and was more excited than I'd ever seen her about almost anything. Simon is a patient, positive teacher which works so well for a girl who is usually so shy. Scarlett can't wait to show off her skills at every opportunity. Our home will soon welcome an electric drum kit which we are super sure will not turn into a clothes hanger like the treadmill. School of Rock has been a game changer for Scarlett and me. Seeing your kid so excited about something (other than electronics) is awesome.
