Customer Testimonials
The energy is awesome. Our instructor is encouraging and makes my daughter (first time playing an instrumen), feel capable .
It's been just a month of lessons and all great so far.
My son has felt very welcomed by the staff and kids. The level of instruction is great
I like the multi-disciplinary approach: lessons + performance program.
The kids are learning the music they like and that keeps them interested.
I think the instructors and owners are wonderful! They worked with me to accommodate my budget and schedule.
School of Rock is an awesome community of friendly artists who know their stuff and who know how to inspire kids and adults to learn, grow, and rock out. I am so grateful to all of them for their passion and spirit! They are the best!
EVERYONE IS POSITIVE AND YOUR CHILD WALKS AWAY CONFIDENT WITH WHAT HE OF SHE IS LEARNING. THERE HAS NOT BEEN ONE TIME WHEN OUR CHILD DID NOT COME OUT WITH A SMILE.
The people, instruction for band as a whole
Good,supportive and fun environment!
School of Rock a inspires people of all ages to pursue what they love, whether it is an instrument or singing. All of the staff are dedicated, inspirational and supportive, creating a community that accepts all and is like a big family. Without School of Rock I wouldn't be as confident as I am now, an immense change from when I first walked in, reluctant to take vocal lessons and participate in a band to rocking out on stage along with friends who I wouldn't have met if I didn't join SOR and spending almost all of my free time participating in bands. In each vocal lesson I push myself to do better than I did the week before and every rehearsal a fun experience to be a part of. I'm so thankful for having joined the SOR community, meeting all of the talented staff and creating cherished friendships.
I LIKE THE STAFF....I also like the singular and completely unique awesomeness that is Talor Steinberg and his patient, good-natured, good-humored, and highly effective teaching method, both in terms of music theory and its practical applications on the guitar.
The man is very obviously a force of nature and not entirely of this mortal world....
I also love the adult band, which has been an absolute game-changer for me and has permitted me to come closer to realizing an ambition I have harbored for years, playing serious music in a structured and challenging environment. A year ago I had never played an electric guitar before, and I now myself playing lead on Clapton, Zeppelin, and Allman Brothers songs that I only dreamed about doing in the past.
I would like to shine a Berlin Wall floodlight of appreciation on Tory and Vanessa Ridder who run the school with so much enthusiasm that it permeates the spirit of every student there.
I would also like to thank the learned and indefatigable Sean Nolan for his efforts to assist making the adult band all that it has been over the past year. The School of Rock in Mamaroneck N.Y. deserves a rating of eleven.
Friendly staff they really enjoy teaching the kids and great that after lesson they play with other students .
Best of all are the concerts that they do . The kids are so excited
Jordan is an awesome teacher and the whole vibe is great. I strongly believe in kids' music education and not everyone has to do classical. Rock has a ton to offer!
I love the comfortable environment that children are taught about music and learn music.
They make the process of playing music fun. The enthusiasm of the instructors, and patience in directing the students is important in making it rock. The choice of music has also broadened my horizons in some areas I never would have listened to, were it not for my participation in the program.
We have a great group. I love the rehearsals and gigs. Sean is a great musician and really coaches well. Tory is a fantastic manager.
The approach is great: private lesson coupled with the group experience of the band. Working on songs with the goal of performing on stage is really motivating and rewarding. In terms of the facility, I have only one recommendation. Especially because I'm a female and have a little girl and there are many different kids and adults using the space, I'd make keeping the bathrooms & common areas really clean and tidy a priority. It's important on many levels.
teachers and staff are amazing with the students. Rock & Roll environment where kids feel safe and have fun while learning.
It's my happy place. I just love the people and the passion for music. And seeing my son embrace his inner rocker has been just nothing short of amazing!
