My son really enjoyed learning a new instrument, trying his hand at other instruments, learning through collaboration and all the jamming. The final performance was so so wonderful to watch. In just 5 days they were able to perform for a full half-hour show. Incredible!!

Every school should put students into a performing group. I have no idea why this isn't the default.

Monika Ryan is wonderful! I love her feedback as well as praise for where I've been improving that I don't notice. She's very knowledgeable in what she does as well as able to be a positive, patient teacher for students which is an impressive combination to find.
The collaborative approach that is taken with the students is wonderful. And the clear notes that are given to students after every lesson. Also I love how easy it is to reschedule when necessary. Thanks!

Lots of fun
In just one week, my 11 year old son was excited to attend SOR camp. Mornings prior to leaving for camp, he'd say "Let's Rock"!
My son has picked up a guitar once in his life. Confidence was built over the week long camp and when it came time to their end of the week concert, not only did my son volunteer (and nailed it) on vocals, drums and guitar. Vocals is not an easy task but he was up for the challenge and he was SO proud of himself.
I am so happy we decided to sign him up. We plan to sign him up again for additional lessons and hopefully he can rock out with other kids his age.
The staff was extremely friendly and very much welcoming. It's a wonderful program!!

1. Adam Howell is an awesome drum teacher.
2. Playing with a band is helping my son develop skills he wouldn't otherwise learn until later.
3. Amber is awesome at making the kids feel at home and dealing with scheduling/ rescheduling, etc.

My son liked the program because he was able to experience the band performance. It was also fun for him to play different songs with a different sets of students.
My son had the time of his life during his first camp. (Beatles week). This was our first experience with School of Rock and it was awesome! Signed him up for another one already. Such a great confidence booster! Thank you to all of the staff that help these kids find their inner strength and polish their skills.

The program helped my son gain confidence to perform in front of any audience and the basics on guitar. From my standpoint, the staff did an excellent job preparing the kids for their gig. The only request I have to improve the experience is to offer left-handed guitars to students.
The kids learned a lot in a week and built confidence to encourage them to continue their interest in music.
