I love the enthusiasm of the instructors and how the songs that are chosen for the kids to learn open up a really cool dialogue about the history of music (well, at least for this music-loving parent). My daughter had unenthusiastically played piano for nearly two years, and after starting classes at SOR, she’s finally found the inspiration to WANT to continue playing.
Everyone is so nice and accommodating! All the kids are friendly, and are welcoming to all students, no matter what age they are! Our son has high functioning autism and he absolutely loves it. It has given him independence and something that is just his.

Dave is such a wonderful teacher. He continues to challenge Emmet and excite him with new concepts and music, all while working with and around Emmet’s challenges. He’s also great at communicating with us regarding lessons and group rehearsals. I also love that Emmet gets his one on one time with Dave every week but also gets that two and a half hour rehearsal which not only fosters his growth as a musician but also teaches him patience as well as social skills. We all love SOR, especially Emmet!

My son looks forward to every lesson, rehearsal, camp session, performance and event. He has never been bored. In addition to learning, he loves to sit and discuss music with his instructors or the staff. They are always supportive of his ideas. I love that he is given advanced techniques that he can work towards and achieve, he is learning quickly and we always feel that he is getting our money’s worth. He is always improving and learning something new on multiple instruments. We also love that he feels as if he has friends and family at School of Rock.

I love how much my kids are motivated to learn their music for band rehearsals...there is nothing like having to play in front of your bandmates each week...the positive power of peer pressure!
I like that the kids mix with all ages and abilities and that they have a great show goal to work towards. I like that the shows are both in house and at outside venues. I like the general welcoming atmosphere from all staff and that SOR makes everyone belong.

It is a very positive environment for kids to learn. The staff is always supportive and helpful and they are very responsive if you have questions.

Everything. Monroe came home after her very first lesson and could play part of a song. You make music fun and accessible which makes children want to continue to learn an instrument. But tying in the band component even for the young ones is my absolute favorite part. To see my 7 year old confidently playing and singing up on stage with her band was surreal. The fact that they did such an incredible job at their tender ages had me awe struck! Thank you a million times over for offering this experience to our community.

Matt is great with the kids and has so much patience! As well, I love that I can listen to a great selection of vinyl while my son is in his lesson/program!!!!
Overall the school has an awesome vibe and definitely has programs that go beyond what others offer young children.

The School of Rock has knowledgeable, kind and amazing teachers who truly care about their students. The performance program is a game changer!! It is built to create a challenging, reachable goal all while being taught and coached by the most professional staff out there. My children’s self esteem, confidence, drive and self worth has improved 100% since beginning at SOR.

My son loves it! I haven’t seen a performance yet, so can’t comment on that aspect. But I love that it has my 11 year old excited about music.
