I enjoyed David L’s class. He had good pacing.
The heat was a bit overwhelming and I think I overheard him saying that the reading on the thermostat was off.
Also when he asked us how we were doing, he didn’t pressure us to answer the question and carried on with class.
Some teachers when they ask us how we’re doing, almost shame us if we don’t “woot and holler”. Sometimes, I come to yoga for a more meditative experience so when teachers make us feel bad for not being vocal or answering their questions; it makes for a very negative yoga experience.
There was a teacher who asked the class how we’re doing and when the response was lackluster; she responded with “I guess I’m talking to myself” and when the class remained quiet she continued to ask us how we’re doing and then she said, “well that was awkward”. The irony is that it was awkward because of her insistence that we answer her repeated questions or match her energy level.
I am hesitant to name the teacher because I’ve had negative experiences doing so and more often than not, nothing gets done so I choose to no longer attend that class.
I understand the culture of Corepower and it’s emphasis on a high level of expressed emotion but some of us come from different cultural backgrounds and shouldn’t be pressured or guilted into doing something we don’t want to do. I already have a high energy, advanced practice so I need to work on managing my mind.

Erin was a great teacher and I really enjoyed my class with her. The room was very large and I felt the class was difficult without being overwhelming which was perfect. Loved all the twisting and how positive she was - thanks!

I am obsessed with Bobbie D’s classes. I love her workouts and her music!
The poses for CP2 are nit too difficult and are designed to stretch out your body. Chair and Back Bend are always my go to poses at home when my back is bothering me and those poses along with the gentle body twisting have always been extremely restorative for my body.
