Have been promised a remodel for years!! Spin bikes 50% monitors don’t work.
Multiple pools, both indoor and outdoor. A large area for weights and other fitness machines/equipment.
Now if you could just get those excellent massage chairs returned to full functionality!
I would be nice if the pool water was clear and clean. I think we would be better served if you used a professional company to keep the pools clear and clean. Last year the outdoor pool was so cloudy you could barley see the wall when swimming laps all summer long. The indoor pool was super clear for two weeks after it had been closed down for cleaning and painting. A lot of the ellipticals make clicking noises and should be serviced. Otherwise I have no complaints.
It’s usually really clean and organized. I don’t use a lot of the gym facilities, but the ones I use (pool, hot tub, locker rooms, cafe) are, for the most part, in decent condition.
Clean towel availability is an issue sometimes. Would be good to have some clean towel racks in the locker rooms (similar to what Genesis South has) and have clean towels at all times. Coffee in the cafe… a few times I have gone there and there is no coffee and no one to request a new brew. Hope there would be a better selection of coffee available. Other than this, it’s a pretty good gym.
The facility is too hot,
The cardio equipment is in poor condition and the club is not clean.
The facility is always quite dirty. The steam room is commonly down which is one of the amenities that justifies the higher membership fee over your competitors. Finally, I have asked for over two years for more kettle bells. It is strange for a gym of this size to only have like 6-10 kettle bells.
I will not be renewing my membership when it comes up this year.
Cleanliness is lacking throughout the club.

Convenient location. Basketball court. Plenty of equipment to use while the other equipment isn’t working. Friendly counter staff.

I think the only improvement that’s easy to do is have towels more readily available. Otherwise only negative are just the size of the gym / amount of squat racks etc in comparison to other gyms

We are so disappointed at the lack of tender loving care shown to our clubs building. It used to be everything was clean and maintained. With the new cheap owner there are light bulbs out all over the place literally. The bottom of the indoor pool is slippery with scum. The parking lot, while some holes have been patched, is an absolute disgrace. The indoor pool also needs to be drained, power washed, and painted. The front door and the north door to the indoor pool need to be replaced or at least repaired. The sink faucets in the men's locker room are on their last leg.
The new owner needs to turn loose of some money and fix the place up.
Atmosphere - although it is one of the filthiest gyms that I have ever been associated with.

The club is in need of a facelift. As a long standing member, I recall there was a promise of an update when TAC bought out Prairie Life. I agree that Genesis should not be held to promises of someone else. However, to read the monthly updates and see how much is being put into other clubs is very disappointing.
I also find it disappointing when it takes 3 or 4 towels to get dried off after a shower. I am not a large person, but the towels get so thin before replacing that I can't get dry with just one.
The staff remains your redeeming feature. They are always friendly and helpful when called upon. However, I have a concern with staff in that my last interaction was an attempt to get signed on the website. The gentleman I spoke to was unable to get me on the site, when I asked if there was a different number I could call he said yes, but was unable to find that number. I said I could probably find it on the site and he told me that would be a good idea. I did find the number, but still could not get into my account with the next person.
The classes have been very good. I appreciate the instructors. Some clubs are getting old and could use a facelift. I'm sure you are aware of that. I do think Maintenance has improved in recent years.
I’ve called the corporate Human Resources number in Wichita Kansas 3 times due to a couple of hospital and doctor bills due to an injury my daughter had at the Genesis gym in Lee’s Summit on 291 highway. No answer and no call back after leaving messages about the billing and injury. The manager Clement knows all about the injury that occurred on December 13th. The constuction still happening makes it not inviting to be there .

There are way too many underage, unsupervised kids on the weight floor and too many high school kids horsing around on the weight floors while tying up the weight benches and machines that are commonly used.
Seriously as a gym - this needs to be addressed.
