I had a good experience with the fitting. The person who helped me was friendly and knowledgeable about how the look should be, the proper length, folds etc. It was a measure twice ,fit once situation.

Hello! I had an excellent experience at Friar Tux this past week!
I looked great in the tuxedo I rented; it fit well and held up comfortably to a night of dancing at a wedding.
But the outstanding aspect of my Friar Tux experience was the FANTASTIC customer service I received from both Val and Tyrone in the store. In my initial visit to be fitted and the followup visit to pick up my tux, Val and Tyrone made me feel like a VIP with their friendliness, attention to detail and knowledge of the product offerings at Friar Tux. The two of them work really well as a team and though sometimes they were juggling multiple customers they were always attentive to what was going on in the store, making sure everyone was helped in order of their arrival and lending an air of professionalism and fun to the process.
Val and Tyrone are rock-stars who really know their stuff and made me feel welcome! 10/10! I will be back for tuxedo rentals and suit purchases in the future and will recommend you to my friends as well.

The suit was super nice, reasonable cost to rent. I’m an oddly proportioned person but everything fit great. The gentlemen who helped me each time were great and provided top notch customer service. Very friendly, helpful and efficient. Great experience

The service was amazing! I think the guy who helped us was Cody, but he was very professional and helpful and made us feel confident about our rental tuxedos. We also had gone very last minute but he helped us get it same day for a wedding the following day. At first we felt like we were spending a lot of money (it was our first time renting a tux since high school) but we looked and felt classy and confident at the black tie wedding we were at. We also just rented from Men’s Wearhouse for another wedding, since it is in Idaho and there were no Friar’s, but the experience was nowhere near as good. It was awkward and the guy helping us seemed like he had no clue what he was doing and also was very awkward and uncomfortable. We will likely only be using Friar’s moving forward if possible.

Nice selection of suits. Friendly staff. Very efficient process which includes selecting the package you want, getting measurements taken, and picking up the suit the next day. The only thing I was not pleased about was when we first entered the establishment, there were maybe only two other customers in the store and a staff member hollered at us from behind the counter to scan the QR code to "check in". What if one does not have a smart phone? Does that mean Friar Tux discriminates and will not service customers who do not have a smart phone? I even pushed back and insisted they allow me to check in without scanning the QR code, but they insisted, and said I could not check in otherwise. My father who is 82 and does not use a smart phone would have been refused service. After writing this review, I have changed my mind and would probably give this company a low rating and not be likely to refer friends and family because if they don't have a smart phone, they would not be allowed to rent or purchase a suit. With this model in place, Friar Tux is promoting the dependency on smart phones for everything to rule our lives and we should be given the option for those who prefer the convenience, but scanning a QR code should not be required when there is a perfectly available staff member behind the counter able to check us in. In fact, insisting on using the QR code system continues us going down the path of fewer and fewer human interaction which is no good.
Brought my elderly father in to be fitted for a suit he needed to attend funeral services for my mother. Staff at the Downey location was very accommodating and patient within my dad.
