The communication and organizational values
Easy to schedule shifts, communicate with staff, book time off, work around your schedule, etc. Great clients, relatively decent wages but they could be better. They give raises early if you do a good job, plus extra raises for everyone. Understanding when you're sick and unable to make it to a shift. They let you choose which clients you are comfortable working with. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Lots of flexible shift options at any time of day or night.

The office staff goes up and beyond to try and accommodate my very limited availability to ensure I am happy. They also match me with really good clients and they work hard to make sure they are also really happy with the care that is being provided for them

I have been an employee for a few days now and I must say the processes and the way a manner things are done are awesome.
Shayla, (the People’s coordinator in Calgary) is amazing. Indeed, she is a people’s coordinator. She has staff welfare at heart. She is so humble and understanding . She is actually the reason I gave that score.
However, the schedulers need training on how to handle caregivers. Anastasia (at Calgary branch) is very rude and unkind. She talks to Caregivers anyhow without considering how they will feel. She needs grooming!
Apart from that, Nurse next door is an amazing place to work!
They are always understanding and they are really nice to work with and if I have questions they are good at explaining the answer and the reason for something.
I’m giving this score because the we’ve got biased schedulers at Calgary SW.
They rip off long hour schedules from previous assignees and give them to their favorites on the regardless of whether one is hardworking or not!
After they’ve done that they will not even inform the field staff, all the field staff will realize is that, the schedule is no more on the AlayaCare app. And then they lie and tell the previous assignee that the client called off the shift!
This is so unprofessional!
Kudos to staffs like Shayla who always look out for the welfare of field staff. I really appreciate that lady!
