This is a great facility with wonderful social area, performance/lecture rooms, a gym, rec room and many places to socialize, play cards or just sit and visit or read. The outside is lovely as well as it is close to nature and lovely landscaping.

Allen Senior Recreation Center is a great place to make friends and learn many health facts and get healthy with various exercise classes. It's a great place to join if you are new to Allen or a surrounding town and get to make new friends and learn all about the area.

I love the people

I just joined in September 2025. I have not been able to take advantage of the Center yet due to personal issues. I hope this will change soon. I was very impressed on my tour of the facility and look forward to start joining in on some of the activities. Thank you.

Well , The Allen Senior Center, Is Very Nice, And the Staff Are Very Friendly. I Am Still Working, And I Need To Make More Time, To Be Able To Come In, More Frequently.

Stationary bike

It was very easy to get into and out of the facility. The people were welcoming. Activities are easy to sign up for. The atmosphere is great.

I love the day trips. It takes me to places and restaurants I have never been, some I didn't even know about. I enjoy the people who take these trips as well.

The orientation was very well done

I have gone to the center for Tai Chi classes. It was fun and I met some nice people.

I like getting together with others who like to play the guitar and sing. I find the Allen Senior recreation center a very relaxing and welcoming place to get together with others. The staff is very welcoming too, and is always available to answer questions.

Staff is kind and considerate, especially with people who forget their membership cards!
Facility is always sparkling clean.
And, best of all, Tess Thompson is a wonderful fitness leader.
