We have been members since the day the recreation center started, and we enjoy the experience of working out in the facility. This is a wonderful facility for the entire family, extremely glad to see wide range of people of all ages, including kids/toddlers, and seniors enjoying the facility. I would like the City of Allen, extend the hours during the weekends.

The facility itself is very nice. There's a variety of ways to exercise via machine, class, court games, etc.
The childcare team is amazing. They call my kids out by name before I even walk up to the counter and let me know how they behaved when I come to pick them up.
We love the daycare staff! My kids absolutely love them and its safe and clean. We also love the tree house for getting out extra energy!

Since opening the facility it has been well maintained. The recent one-week closure was a bit of a nuisance but the gym upstairs was much cleaner. There was probably other work occurring at that time, but I'd be happy if this became an annual event. Seldom any waiting period for access to equipment.

The center is well staffed, clean, supplies lockers, plenty of free parking. When you arrive you are greeted by friendly and cheerful staff encouraging great workouts. Always ready to assist when the need arises or answer questions.
Everyone is there for one purpose which helps support my motivation for exercising. The sound of the children is encouraging since they are having fun.

Lots of options
I joined as a Charter Member, and this is my most successful gym experience. In previous years, my workouts consisted of a more singularly focused format. At STRC I have had the opportunity to try not only the upstairs gym weights and equipment, but a variety of class options. My unexpected favorite cardio class is cycling, but I also enjoy pilates and various strength training class formats. I appreciate the variety of options available at STRC in a beautiful setting.
