Staff is very friendly and helpful
Friendly, lot’s of activities
Love the classes and people at the reception desk are the best. Always smiling and greeting me as I come in and scan my membership card. I do wish there were more yoga classes but try to make at least one per week.
I really enjoy the outdoor pool. Every time I go it's a nice relaxing break. Disappointed whenever the pool is closed for some reason or the swim club takes ask the lanes.
Great selection of weights and other exercise equipment and a nice pool with plenty of time for lap swimming.
We love our coach (Go Pat)!
Youth hockey at the Y is well organized, good email communication, lots of extras to add on with camps, skills clinics etc.., Thursday morning sessions as a la carte, the option of having competitive and rec teams, reasonable pricing,
It is a very spacious facility, with a huge parking lot. The facility itself has tons of rooms for various types of exercise and classes. I appreciate the multiple rooms for weights and cardio, it helps to spread people out so that even at peak hours, the gym never feels crowded. The exercise equipment itself is varied, there are all types of machines and multiple machines for almost every workout. The equipment is also state of the art and well maintained, machines are hardly ever in need of repair and it they are, they are fixed very quickly (other gyms have older equipment that breaks and they infrequently fix it!). I also like how the facility is always temperature controlled so it is never too hot or too cold.
Fantastic administration and coaching!
The support given to our communities, a variety of great classes and instructors, welcoming friendly atmosphere, free classes and support for the underserved and a true giving community friend.
Smaller club. Personal attention. Superior culture compared to big clubs. Excellent coaches. Peter Sejna devilishly handsome.
Great staff and facility!
Ice rink
Ease of getting in and out. Near my home. Can get to treadmill or machines without a lot of waiting
The instructors have been fantastic with the kids. They've become so comfortable in the water and I think a lot of that is due to the fun and caring nature of the instructors.
Friendly front desk
Excellent personal training experience with my trainer, Jerry Hernandez
Low key, clean, weight area is NOT overcrowded.
Affordable
Great facility, pool is nice outdoor/indoor, space for yoga and classes is nice. Wish Pilates classes were still free but it’s nice they are all offered there.
good location, lots of things to do there.
Jerry is terrific as is the rest of the staff.
Great place and friendly, knowledgeabl staff!
The approachable coaches. And the families and kids. Just overall good people.
Overall, the program is amazing. The vibe is unbelievable that Chris and Peter have created and i think the future is bright for the Locos organization and Core Skills Hockey. I also loved the addition of the parent council. As a member of the parent council, here are a few things I've heard where we can take it to the next level - first and foremost, increased communication about the vision of the program. What are the goals? Are we trying to win at all costs, are we a development organization, what are we? Then, parents would love periodic feedback throughout the season - a newsletter of sorts. How are teams doing, what are the focus areas of various teams/age levels, news on tournament wins, highlight a coach, etc. We sort of get information in August at the beginning of the year and then it is pretty quiet throughout the rest of the season. Finally, and this is probably germane just to this year, would love to hear after a mostly rough year of Wins and Losses for a lot of the teams, what is the plan heading into the future for perhaps more appropriately seeding teams in the AA, A, and B leagues. If we are choosing to keep the existing levels, just an understanding of the whys behind that decision as there are a lot of parents who didn't play hockey and see us with a 7-24 record (example only) and automatically think that the best path forward is to just play in a less intense league. I know Chris and Peter have a reason - we just need to hear and understand it. Again, the foundation we've created is rock solid and these are just minor tweaks.
Thanks
Peter
Great programs, friendly community
Hi. I like the Y's relaxed atmosphere and location. I like the fact that I can usually find an empty room to workout in. I am glad that it is almost always open. I like the stairmaster machines. They are new and quite good.
I love that I have so many choices when it comes to exercising and weight lifting. However, since the weight room remodel I have noticed it is tougher for me to access and use the free weights, because they are In a much tighter space. Now in an L-configurated space the lower weights are in the tightest "L" corner. Before, all free weights were well spaced along a long mirrored wall and you had free access to them to take to any number of benches to use them.
Can you somehow re-configure the free weight area to allow more space for grabbing and utilizing the implements?
Thank you so much for your considerations!
First name removed
Smaller team sizes (more ice time during games).
Excellent coaches (available, professional, and experienced)
Less travel demands compared to other programs (lower cost; less missed school)
Tryout selection process seems fair and reasonable
Programs at each age level up to 18U
Knowledgeable coaches, practice schedules that cater to kids, great sense of team and organizational chemistry!
The people and overall environment!
I love the Silver Sneakers classes provided for Seniors. The classes conducted by Wendy Hood are so valuable in keeping those in this age group social, mobile and stronger!
Location, friendly staff, fun place to play pickleball.

The kids and families are familiar. The kids get to know the older and younger players giving them a sense of pride in the club. The smallish nature of the club also allows parents a chance to collaborate on managing equipment, driving schedules, as well as future development opportunities.
