You have all the equipment I need, and the staff and other members are nice
flexibility of resources, coordination with medicare, quality of instructors, used by ordinary people -- from preschoolers to firefighters to seniors (flip side is the Y is not designed for uber athletes but welcomes all.)
The temperature of the pool is great, not too cold. Wide range of teachers, some more experienced with youth than others. They provide good introduction to the water without fear.

The YMCA is great. The staff is wonderful and the location and hours are convenient.

The drop-in classes are great! I really appreciate the variety of classes. The equipment looks good, but I haven't had a chance to try it yet. It's not overly crowded. The people at the service desk are very friendly and helpful. I believe in their mission.
My husband and I like the gym and we’re taking several classes. If we are gone we can suspend our membership. We joined with Renew Active but if that benefit is cancelled (as we anticipate is likely), we will stay with the Y.

The front desk personnel are wonderful. You feel welcomed every time you enter. Also great at answering questions. The facility is immaculate. The woman I often see cleaning works hard and I assume there are others that keep the place so tidy. Finally, I had a great intro to the workout area from Alex who really knows his stuff and was able to show me some machines and other types of equipment that were appropriate for someone my age and my physical condition.
