Friendly, very helpful front desk. They go the extra mile. Sofia who did my Smart Start was very knowledgeable and warm person. Variety if classes
I love the community and atmosphere at the Boulder YMCA, including the friendly staff at the front and the daily Trivia questions. For the facility, I love the sauna in the women's locker room and the stationary bikes.
My only recommendation for improvement would be to add 1-2 more stationary bikes to the front area (by the windows near the ellipticals and treadmills).
The friendly helpful atmosphere the staff and members bring to the Y is wonderful.
Lots of treadmills and stationary bikes. Good free weight room. Good weight machines. Private showers. Ping pong day. Nice staff.
Instructors are careful and thorough, can ask them for suggestions to stretch, why getting pain, and general excercise questions. Equipment is is in good working order, clean, helpful staff.
It is clean. I use the weight equipment and wish you could fix defective machines sooner.

Very easy to check in, staff is knowledgeable and very nice, I play pickleball so really enjoy that just sorry no PB on weekdays during summer, but hope that will start up once school starts in mid August
I like the staff and the convenient and plentiful hours for pickleball. I also like the dance classes. the coffee offering is such a sweet bonus. Love the desire to help people from the staff.
Lots of friends.
I like the group that is forming around the Pedaling for Parkinson's classes and the Parkinson's Pickle Ball group. Group friendships are very important for person's living with Parkinson's.
Location, variety of classes and knowledgeable instructors.
As a senior I’m delighted that, with my Medicare insurance, and my supplemental insurance, working out at the Y is free for me. The Smart Start-or is it Start Smart?!- three free sessions were invaluable to introduce me to the machines and the person who helped me was lovely, very encouraging to someone who has never worked out before at a gym -or anywhere else for that matter.
I also appreciated the end of year sale on private personal training sessions. It took some months for the Y to connect me with a trainer, but I have just begun using my paid sessions to get additional help while using the facilities at the Y.
I find the Boulder Y workout room really pleasant. There’s so much light and it’s altogether a very welcoming, enjoyable space. It’s nice that the treadmills have TV/cable screens. And for me, the central location is very convenient. I’m just really grateful to have this facility in Boulder.
For one, it is convenient to where I live. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the facility is clean and the machines are plentiful. I can't comment on the classes since I don't participate in them any more. I can easily grumble about things but for the most part everything is fine.
I like its convenience to my house. I also appreciate its friendly atmosphere, the welcoming staff and the opportunities it affords to meet new people in my age group. It's values align with my own.
The variety of classes and teachers. I enjoy the pools for swimming, water exercise and relaxation.
