Football
very organized, professional, and afordable
Price and practice times
I like the positive outlook regardless of performance. My child doesn’t want to be a star soccer player but I like the physical activity for her.
The communication from i9 and the coach.
The coaches and parents are all so fun and everyone is rooting on every kid, not just their own!
Love that practice and game are the same day. Like that kids learn a new skill about game and an aspect of sportsmanship.
Correct number
i9 Sports is a great way to introduce sports to younger children! We like how you can request to play with friends and form your own team. Having referees at games is a plus since they help teach the kids the rules of the game and also provide support to the coaches and teams. Also, the program director is very responsive to parent questions and emails.
the programs at i9 provides a recreational activity for the kids that focuses more on the aspect of social interaction that are indeed enjoyable. The program has taught my child to have good sportmanship.
I love the format you use each week to help the kids learn different aspects of the game & sportsmanship and I truly believe it creates a great environment for the kids to learn and have fun at the same time. I do feel that a 45 min practice before the 32 min game for 6 & 7 year olds may be too long, as we've noticed many kids lose their focus right after the game starts, yet they did phenomenal during practice and were completely focused.
My one and only true concern with the program is the "participation award" mentality....we had a team kicking our tails by a good 20+ points and instead of letting them win like they should have and keep playing a normal game (just like how the real world works...), they were made to add an extra element to their game by having to pass the ball a minimum of 3 times before they could shoot so they didn't shut us out. Our kids need to understand that in life you win AND you lose and it's not pretty sometimes. This 'coddling' mentality where everyone receives a participation award stuff is for the birds...let the kids play ball and understand how the game (and life) are truly played - win or lose.
Practice and games are the same day.
I like that everyone had a chance to play and that the kids seem to get along well.
Great communication, easy to register and keep track of changes in schedule. The combination of positivity and also not an “everyone wins” program is great.
Children always get to participate, no favoritism. Like that it is one day a week
We are very happy with the sportsmanship you promote, and also, with having the practice and game the same day.
inclusive of all levels.
I like that both the practice and games are neatly fit into a one hour structure.
We love I9. The coaches are great. They stop and explain what the kids are doing wrong at the time of error to help them improve their skills.
Wonderful program.
I like that they are non competitive but teach the kids how to play the game with sportsmanship. I loved our coach. Coach Sal is great with the kids.
They teach fun lessons to the kids. Skills that will help them in the game, like listening and being positive.
Organized and fun for children while learning the skill for that sport.
I like that my son gets to play a sport he enjoys, learns team work and skills to get better. I also like that the time commitment is fairly simple.
Inlike the fact that i dont have to commit to weekly practices and can dedicate one day to practice & games. Plus, all kids get to play, no matter their skill set.
I like that the programs encourage all skill levels. Also, the focus includes having fun! My daughter has grown in confidence despite being one of two girls on a basketball team. The coaches and referees encourage all teammates to share the ball without "special treatment" because she is a girl. Because of this, she does not correlate her gender as being any different from any player on her team.
Friendly staff and volunteers. Practice and games are only on Saturdays which make it easier to manage for working families.
I like the positive atmosphere and I like that the practice times are on same day as the games.
I like that at the end of each games the coaches tells them that they did good and gives a gold medal to best deserved player for that day.
Having the opportunity to coach 3 seasons of Flag Football with an awesome group of kids, including my son on my team! Going into every new season with the returning kids and families requesting me as their coach & also a few new kids & we get to build a “family-like” bond between all of us.
Very organized, lots of teaching and focus on making sure kids have a good time. Lots of good resources for coaches as well to ensure kids are getting proper instruction as opposed to depending on ability/knowledge of the individual coach.
