I like that I'm greeted every morning when I walk in and am told to have a good day when I leave. I need to probably take more time to get to know the names of the staff, but the fact they do this feels good to me.
The people are great! Staff and members alike, the crowd downtown is friendly. I like to feel part of that community.

I love the water aerobics at the downtown location. 10/10 do recommend to all my friends. The last month and a half have been life changing. Kate and Dora are magical humans who do such a great job of caring for their community. Also love the early mornings. The staff is super friendly and the facilities are always spotless. Just all around a magical place. Can’t thank y’all enough. And huge shout out to Eddie Blue for hooking me up with the membership!! He’s really out here caring for his community!!
The YMCA is the first place I have ever felt like I was truely a part of something. It has gotten me into self care though working out which previously i was not into the gym environment. It has carried me through some tough stuff.
The community is great, fills my needs.

The Central Y is a very convenient location. I like the smaller venue compared to the larger facilities out in the suburbs. Amazing, professional and friendly instructors leading the group exercise sessions.

A very friendly and diverse community
The facilities are extremely clean and most of the staff are very welcoming and friendly. I enjoy the group classes and I'm so thankful they are included in the regular membership fee. I'm enjoying the recent upgrade to the LifeFitness treadmills and I hope to see more technology upgrades in the future. I installed the app and it is nice to be able to easily track so many metrics on my runs.
I really love the Women's Health Center especially, and the related services. I rent a locker and use the laundry service, and I have never been so consistently active. It makes it so much easier to show up and workout.
I'm glad to have access to the whirlpool, but I wish that there was also a steamroom in the Women's Health Center and not just the Men's. It seems very unfair--I wish a new steamroom could be added.
I would also say that I do not always feel comfortable in the weight room on the lower floor. I am a seasoned lifter, but especially during prime time when I have been down there I felt very uncomfortable with how crowded it was. I think the weightroom might be under-resourced. As a woman, it also makes me feel unsafe at times that the room is so isolated. I favor free weights over machines, and I wish that the free weights were as accessible as the machines.
Overall, I love the Central Branch! I've attended the Parkview and Skyline branches regularly previously as well, and Central blows them all out of the water. I love the environment you have created, thanks for all the hard work from the team!
Overall friendly and caring
It's my (hopefully) daily therapy for my back issues. Most of the staff is always very friendly.
I visit the Central Branch very early in the morning. The staff are always very friendly. They know me by name and always greet me with a smile and encouragement. It helps get my day started on the right track. When I first started coming in I was very uncomfortable with working out in general and they’ve really helped me feel like I DO belong here.
Been working out at the Central Branch for over 5 years . The staff and patrons are friendly and they have all the equipment you might need for a workout. I know it's not the newest building and it doesn't have all the fancy high tech equipment, but it feels like home for me.
I really like that I don't have to wait to use any machine.
My child prefers the child watch at central over all the other ones even though it’s smaller. He loves the ladies that work in there and the calmness of it even though there’s several children playing. The other child cares are too hectic and overwhelming for him since he has a sensitivity to noise.
It feels like a small family. Staff are nice and friendly. Love the Zumba class.

I also appreciate the smaller population that uses this Y. It has more of a personalized feeling.
