Cleanliness, variety of equipment
My family and I have been going to the Alexander Y for 20+ years. I swim. I started swimming in the summer at SE. I love the huge outdoor pool and that it is enjoyed by kids, the camps and families.
My biggest like is that I don’t see any fat, white, old crackers at SE … whereas Alexander might as well be HQ for that pig Trump and his maga Republicans.

The Southeast Raleigh YMCA has an outstanding staff that is welcoming, respectful, hard workers. The men’s locker room is kept very clean and sanitized. The outdoor pool is refreshing. The clientele is very friendly. Without question, my favorite YMCA in the Triangle.

I've really enjoyed the classes--it has helped me set aside time to take care of my body. One of my favorite parts has been the childcare--my kids love it and it is so much easier to exercise when I know they're well taken care of. Kristen is especially wonderful!
I love the friendly staff and programs for my grandchildren. I learned to use the exercise machines and an hooked on fitness!
