Great facility, friendly staff, clean locker room
You're not asking for critical comments - the music is too loud, way too loud. Virtually everyone wears some for of headphones, they bring their own music. The piped in music interferes with members personal music. And the rest of us have to listen to YOUR choice. Why must we? Turn off the music
Always feels like the most welcoming place!
Orientation was great and everyone was super helpful. Our daughter even got to do her swim test for her black band on our first day. We're excited for our move to Raleigh and being YMCA members!
Diversity of classes offered. Management ie Tracy welcomes suggestions and ideas, responds in a time manner and has an attitude of "why not" vs "why".
The pool and swim program are run safetly and effeceiently.
The class instructors are knowlwdgable, helpful, friendly, humerous and professional.
Overall it is a welcoming enviroment that is safe and enbracing.

The staff is amazing, and gym is equipped for your goals to be accomplished. I'm also grateful that they recognized my being 100% total and permanent veteran 🙏

Clean and warm atmosphere in the main building, weight room, and strength, conditioning studios, Women's pavillion and the basketball gym.
Like the gym, the walking area above the gym, pool, and strength& conditioning studio rooms for privacy during private meditation 🧘♂️
The Pool family bathrooms can be better monitored to keep the floors dryer and cleaner during heavy traffic. Perhaps, put up signs for patrons to keep bathrooms clean and as dry as possible after use.
Maintain orderliness amongst youths without parents at the pool.
Last year summer 2024, a group of youths were throwing shoes into the pool from the resting area while adults & other family patrons were swimming. Another threw a shoe back from the pool, which went over the fence and hit a car windscreen in the parking lot. The young pool life-guards/staffers did not seem equipped enough to maintain orderliness and timely control of the situation. This incidence was brought to one of the center supervisor attention at the front-desk.

Southeast is a great Y. This location provides classes that aren’t offered at other Triangle YMCAs such as Body Balance and TRX. They also offer individual training sessions as pop up classes. This is amazing! Beyond that, the Y staff works to get to know people.
Instructor was doing her demo class...great voice and routine.
Love the friendliness of the front desk staff and the community feel. There were extra produce boxes when we visited this past Saturday and we were invited to take one which was a really nice surprise!
Class offerings are very good. Instructors are friendly and knowledgeable. The facility is clean and well lit.
Popular classes fill up quickly. Provide those classes more frequently so everyone can attend . Love the classes and instructors are all wonderful. Staff is great. Wish there were more thrive classes.
I love the new hours. I am very fond of the group fitness classes. I am trying to fit the water aerobics class in my schedule. The front desk staff is so approachable. The front desk staff makes me feel so welcome. I like the different events held and sponsored throughout the year. I really look forward to the events. I consider the YMCA staff and members like my wellness family. I like that I have the option to shower after the class; but I have not tried taking a shower yet. I just joined a case study group. I am looking forward to the collaboration and results. I am try to live better. I believe SER YMCA is helping me to reach my goals.
I like the outdoor pool and that it is heated.
The kiddie pool is perfect for little ones, seniors and others not comfortable getting in the larger pool because it allows them to splash around and just dip their feet and legs shallow water. The instructors are great and the different events: self-care, workshops, variety of classes are very helpful.

Love going here for the Sunday classes so far and we are very impressed with the kid zone. My daughter who is 3 years old has really liked the kid zone and that staff has been great with her.
Everyone here is super nice and I enjoy using the facilities.
Diverse community and classes. I have one concern I wish water aerobics was earlier due to the harsh temperature. Maybe it could start at 8 am
