Lakewood Y is a good place to exercise. I like the variety of ages from college to seniors which is not like most gyms. Everyone gets along very well. The primary negative issue is parking when the school next door has an event and parents take all the spaces that are supposed to be reserved for Y members.
I enjoyed hte class and the instructor. She was personable and it was great exercise. Wish the classes were longer!
Clean, well-equipped with new machines, etc. Love the steam room and sauna.
Staff, facility and members are lovely.
Always great!
Class offerings : ZUmba and mat pilates
I love the Lakewood Y. It has racquetball courts which I use regularly, a nicely sized gym area, good cardio machines and a complete set of classes. The staff is friendly, there are always washed towels, and the whole gym is clean and neat. In addition, there is a nice child care facility - I no longer need that feature, but it is an important one for many people. I highly recommend. 10/10
Friendly staff, good equipment, comfortable for people of all ages and abilities. Not overcrowded. No loud TVs. Some good classes.
I love Janice’s HIIT class and the childcare was great too!! Everyone was so helpful. Thank you.
Great facility
Spacious group exercise room. Sauna and steam room. Good equipment on the floor.
Miss Ellie T as an instructor!!
I love the Zumba classes. However, the heat is almost intolerable.
I love Nancy Sawaya's classes. I also like the nice big group exercise room. You didn't ask, but I don't like the unresolved issues with parents who park in the parking lot instead of dropping their children off in the pick-up lane, and I don't like that we are always running out of weights.
Childcare! Beautiful facility and Shan at the front desk was so friendly and helpful.
Clean facility. Good machines. And convenient location. GREAT staff.
First time there, yoga with Sam was great
I love the Y and have recommended it to many of my friends who have joined. The number of classes and the vast number of Y’s is incredible for this area.
I have two problems with the pool at Hope Valley, which seems to close prior to Labor Day, reopens for Labor Day but closes early. Seems that life guards could be hired to work that pool or shifted from the downtown Y.
The app is also a bit clunky and I know many members who don't even use it.
Non intimidating atmosphere, variety of equipment and activities.
The staff are friendly and helpful. I like using the steam room and sauna.

Love the layout, vibe and nice staff. I always feel welcome when I go and I never feel awkward there. Only wish they had large towels so I didn't have to bring any from home.
The gym is well-appointed and the staff are great. I still have find memories from my daughter’s aftercare and she lives camp.
The staff is positive and supportive, and the community is wonderful.
I like that the gym is compact and not crowded so there's rarely a wait time, that the equipment is in good condition, and that the staff on Wednesday afternoons are all really nice people.
Clean place and staff are super nice and helpful.
Staff members are friendly & welcoming. Facility is clean, and there are plenty of cardio machines. My only complaint is that sometimes parking is scarce.
The staff are very friendly and kind to my child!
Nice staff, good equipment, laidback environment.
I have a trainer who I meet at the Lakewood Y.
She is great. The staff are always friendly, polite and helpful. The facility is clean.

I love the ymca, but it has become frustrating with your sign in policy for classes. Not certain if your tech people can look at this issue. I attend the downtown YMCA for classes. I sign up for the class, then I sign in at the front desk then I am hounded and asked if I signed in at the class check point in front of the class door. My question is can’t this class list be linked? After signing up for class and then signing in at front desk.. ? Why do I have to check in Three times?
Thank you!
