My daughter loves coming here and the counselors that work there now are so sweet and helpful.
Ebony has been a breath of fresh air and I can’t brag in her enough. Prior to her coming, the counselors that answered the phones seemed absolutely miserable but Ebony is always friendly and full of energy. My son has noticed the change too and seems much happier.

I love the Lakewood Y! All the equipment is in good shape, it is always so clean, and the staff is more than happy to help. The best part, though, is seeing people I know. Such a lovely community. I am very grateful to have such a great place to work out!
It is all about the staff and the members. Staff are great people who really do an outstanding job running the Y. In addition the Y has a very eclectic group of members. For the most part with a few rare instances members are very respectful and friendly. Great atmosphere!
Location & size of the Lakewood Y is great. It's always a relaxed, friendly & welcoming atmosphere, with a good range of equipment. Ellie's Lean & Cut class is great, & the diversity of all the Durham Y's.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE all of Nancy's classes! She brings such an energy to class and has really built a welcoming and wonderful community. I always feel better coming out of one of her classes and cannot recommend them enough!

The front desk YMCA employee at the Lakewood location is so nice and friendly, although I’m not sure of his name.
I like the facilities, I enjoy the people that work there. I play racquetball and I appreciate the courts that are maintained at the facility.

Big THANK YOU for getting a second squat rack. It makes a huge difference, and it even has a pull-up bar to replace the old one.
The new equipment you are bringing in are inferior to the last ones,. It feels like a cheaper version. You guys need to do a cell phone etiquette training on machines. Everyone seems to sit around. Checking emails than working out. It is getting bad,
I really like the facility and the people who work there. I wish it stayed open a bit later, at least on weekdays, but everything else is great.
WHEN I WALK IN THE DOOR. THE STAFF IS ALWAYS FRIENDLY AND KNOW MY NAME. THE PERSON USUALLY HAS A SMILE. I LOVE THE NEIGHBORHOOD FEELING. VERY PERSONABLE. THE CUSTOMER/PATRONS ARE USUALLY WELCOMING AND FRIENDLY.
