It is a great resource my kid enjoy being with his friends in a safe environment. They are very communicative and I like the fact older students are the ones watching the other kids. My son mentioned he wanted to work doing that when he is in high school
One time last week, the Lakewood Y was still closed as of 6:30 am. Other than that, it's always a great experience.

This location is very community creating. Most members are friendly and considerate. The regulars tend to welcome new folk warmly. The staff are extraordinarily welcoming. Facilities are clean and fairly well maintained. This a YMCA to proudly call your main gym!

I love the small settings cute and cozy. The steam room is so hot and steamy just love it. Women locker rooms setup is great too. Can’t wait for the downtown Y steam room open back up. It’s been down for such a long time.

It’s always the people! The staff know who I am, and it’s those little interactions with them that just make the day brighter. Equipment is good and it’s clean. What more could I want? The recently expanded hours on Saturday have made the weekends even better.

I like Lakewood because it is not very big and usually not crowded. I also like that there is a variety of ages and for the most part people get a long pretty well.
