Clean facility and all equipment, sauna and steam rooms are working.
Staff are friendly, facilities are clean, and the steam room and sauna are always functioning. I would give it a 10 if the TV channels could be accessed on the recumbent bikes and if the TV channels on the treadmills corresponded to what the directory said.

The facility was clean, there was adequate equipment, and staff was was very helpful. I normally go to a different YMCA location, but I was in the area. I would definitely go again if I'm in the area, and would recommend it to anyone who lives nearby.
The machines are new and nice. The YMCA is clean, and there is raquetball.

The staff at Lakewood YMCA are always courteous, polite, and helpful. The facilities are well maintained and clean. I love working out at my Y, and based on experience at gyms I've had memberships at in the past, I know I'm absolutely spoiled here in Lakewood.
How clean and nice the locker rooms are. My favorite part of working out here is the sauna and steam room.
There’s a friendly atmosphere among the members. I like my peace and quiet at times to meditate.
My son had fun at this program. He enjoyed it more than the YMCA at Hope Valley and was sad to leave.

The location is much easier for me to get to than the downtown Y. When I go to Lakewood it is usually not crowded. It has all of the exercise equipment I need. The lockers are a nice size and I love the steam room and sauna after a workout. There are a lot of people at Lakewood that I enjoy socializing with.
Nice staff, nice equipment. Not too crowded. For the most part people are respectful of others and the equipment.
PLEASE extend hours back to a 6:00 closing on Sunday. And, we all want large white towels just like all the branches in Raleigh have.
Otherwise, NO issues. Love the Lakewood Y and all the people. Makes my day when I get there.
I think the Y is great. Things to work on:
Clocks displaying the correct time.
Making sure patrons keep their shoes on.
Nancy S's conditioning and step classes are an awesome workout and an absolute joy to be in. I just moved to the area and her classes at the YMCA have given me such a sense of community that I don't have otherwise. I leave every workout sweaty but so so happy. Thank you!
