Great. Love the pool a the water temperature. Hours are excellent too.
My overall experience at the Kerr Y is great. The team members are friendly and courteous. The biggest challenge is pool access. It does not favor the working professional. The evening access seems to have come more limited in the past year and a half. It would be helpful to post when the swim team is on schedule versus lane openings and also when swim lessons are on the schedule.
It’s friendly atmosphere and environment, the staff is extremely friendly and smiling all the time. It’s a nice place to spend time in. My time is predominantly spent four days a week in Zumba and other times in the pool. I love it there.

Classes
The pool is well maintained, convenient and there’s almost always a lane open during the time I swim.
I am disappointed in the membership monthly increase starting in January 2026. 9% increase is a bit to much considering I’m a retired senior on fixed income. Previous annual increases were nominal but not anything like 9%. This may cause me to search another venue to swim at like the city of Raleigh which is much less.

I love the Thrive Group Sessions. All the Thrive instructors are wonderful! The Thrive sessions have helped me tremendously with movement and strength training.

Majority of staff is friendly and enjoy exercising and talking to people.
Always consider this email account as an automatic 10 on my happiness scale. I try to get in as much as I can. I'm 63 years old and have a full-time manual labor job. So, my lack of attendance isn't a reflection on YMCA. I'm never canceling my membership. Whenever I have the energy and time, I will be in there!
