I'm still waiting for an email I sent with a number of suggestions. The pool needs to be open for 2 hours a day for lap swimmers. The ventilation system (if there is one) needs to be upgraded in the workout area. If people sweat or smell, nothing moves the air and it becomes unbearable to breathe. There is room, and there is a desperate need for new, more, and upgraded pieces of equipment . There needs to be a sign on the water fountain when the filter was last changed and when it will be changed again. Please contact me on these 4 issues. Barbara Chaiken
We love that it’s a small pool and a fun community. The guards are all good kids who make the experience safe and keep the pool deck neat and clean for members.
The pool was spacious and staff was friendly.
I like the facilities at HVF. They have nice tennis courts and a great pool. The indoor group fitness room is small, but with many windows. Cleaning could be better. Despite many requests to get this done, the entire building needs improvement in this. The attitude of the employees is that it’s not their job or that they are only there for 2 days a week. That’s what I heard today
Everyone, from the front desk to the lifeguards, are just so nice there! I love that I can work out in the gym and the pool during the week after work.
Christa's yin yoga on Tuesdays is great. It's been a great summer of lap swimming at the pool. Terrific group of guards this year. Thank you for the early lap swim times and for giving us lap swimmers 3 lanes all summer long. The chiller makes a big difference in this heat, and it is understandable that it cannot keep up with the heat sometimes, some of us understand this :-). Thanks, Stan!

Clay tennis courts, easy parking
stopped in because it was closer to my job than my usual pool. Nice, clean, staff was friendly, pool was pleasant. Campers were loud but in a happy way that made aquarobics more interesting. I wish the baby pool was fixed as I have a nearby friend with a toddler who's looking for a pool, but the lifeguards explained that the issue is pretty complicated and might involve a large renovation.
I love the clay tennis courts plus the staff members are always very friendly and helpful.
My daughter is a rising kindergartner and LOVES camp! She adores the staff and asks to go every single day (even weekends lol) . We definitely will be doing camp every year until she's too old to go !
My daughter loves the Y! She has been attending Y summer camps and afterschool programs for 4 years now and loves them! Counselors are super nice, and work well with my daughter, and have unmatched patience when dealing with her behaviors (due to autism). I highly recommend HVF YMCA!

The swimming pool
My Pretty Princess enjoys going although she's expressed that she wishes they had more activities and less down time or that they could spend more time in the swimming pool. I like that the counselors are very respectful and seem genuinely engaged with the kids.
Love the pool and staff there. They are so friendly -- and once we forgot sunscreen and a lifeguard let us use some of his. Also, love the tennis courts! They are well maintained.
Please regularly sweep the pool area. The cement chips and causes foot pain and cuts too often.
The lifeguards are quite friendly and that makes a better experience for folks at the Y.
