The kindness and information that was given to us
I have been a member of the YMCA for over 20 years and attending Finley for 19. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. The place is clean and the facilities are well maintained. The classes are abundant,well run, and free.
Although as a retiree from state service, I qualify for Silver Sneakers and could enroll in another gym free of charge, I choose the Y partially because I know they provide an array of services to youth and others who may not have the financial ability to pay for those services. So I know my fees are used for good purposes beyond those solely offered to me.
The Finley is an important asset to our community.

Friendly and helpful environment
I like the staff all very friendly and make you feel at home. I also like the ability to work out early in the morning because my child has activities going on in the evening. The convenience is awesome it is a 7-8 minute drive from my house in traffic. We also take advantage of the youth programs with my son as well.

I like the classes there is something for everyone no matter your age or the specific area you are working on. Weight loss, maintenance, increasing muscles I think the classes are developed with everyone in mind.

YMCA Track staff ( 1 and 3) have been so kind to my son. They teach sportsmanship and teamwork and kindness. My son was ready with the broom to help out! ;)
The last 2 weeks of December are not good for us as they take 50 kids and as my son will tell you, not all kids are nice. Stick to the track out schedule and it should be ok.
The YMCA Smart Start Staff are kind and very welcoming.
The dietician, on site, is also good.
The saune is good.
The women's bathrooms are always clean
The gym area is clean, always.
I haven't tried the swimming or any other activities.
No organization is perfect but the YMCA has been a blessing to us. We are happy.

I like the Y. Staff is friendly.
I've noticed an issue where the directional sign is at the Baileywick entrance with the stop sign behind it. Cars are pulling forward (I assume) so that they can see to the left to pull out-ignoring the stop sign that is placed too far back. I have had cars pull out in front of me when I turn in to the parking lot off of Baileywick Road. And I have seen cars pull out in front of others coming in. The stop sign clearly says incoming traffic does not stop but it is too far back from where people need to stop to see around the corner. Maybe you could install a sign somewhere in front of the turn so that people might see that incoming traffic does not stop or move the stop sign to a more logical location?
