So far so good. It's convenient.
YMCA looks like Durham, diverse & inclusive. Staff is friendly & helpful, facility is well equipped & clean. I especially like the indoor track for running when it's too cold, rainy or hot outdoors.
I never go to the downtown Y--I go to the Lakewood Y, which I love. But I HATE getting constant requests to fill out these surveys. It is annoying and it never stops.
I needed a place where I could exercise with low impact. The pool at the Downtown Durham YMCA was the perfect solution for me. Staff is always friendly, fellow members share lanes well when it’s busy… the parking is always hit or miss, so, I typically try to swim on off-peak hours.

The biggest problem is lack of free parking in downtown Durham and a small parking lot.
If the new Downtown Durham Y doesn't have free parking, I will likely just go to a different gym.
Everything is great. It’s a very clean facility, the staff are super nice and friendly, and the gym is big.
