Friendly staff; indoor pool and track
I absolutely enjoy the inside track. It's perfect for those rainy days and our super cold winters we "occasionally" experience in NC.
There is a nice variety in regards to the workout machines.
If you can catch the studio room open ( between classes) its a great "quiet" area after your workout.. Stretch! 💪
I actually joined The Downtown Durham Y in 2010, and it still has a calmer setting than some of the other gyms I have visited. Plus, the staff has always been incredibly helpful and friendly!

Clean facility. Nice staff. Walking track upstairs needs a little work to smooth it down in some places - maybe a new floor there? Overall ‘tho - two thumbs up for the variety of exercise activities at the DT YMCA, plus childcare.

The staff at the desk (Brandon) are great. The instructions are very good. Monday morning aquafit instructor makes my week, it like a pool party with family and friends. The members are friendly. The janitors are friendly. It really a pleasant atmosphere.

Such a great experience, Aundrea did the Teen Orientation with my 12-year-old son and he was AMAZING! Aundrea really took the time to make sure he knows what he is doing when working out and using the machines. That helped build confidence for my son to actually show up and put in the work! He is VERY excited to get into a regular routine.
Great friendly help from Alex and Shawn. They made me feel comfortable and welcomed.

Allot of great equipment. Great staff. Good energy. Basketball, biking. And people of all ages. Only thing I don’t like is the locker rooms need to be updated. And the sauna and steam room being out. But I put the last two issues there due to members not treating it the best.

clean, safe, not crowded. However, I don't understand why the indoor pool is closed when there's a storm. I could understand if it was an outdoor pool but why does an indoor pool have to be closed during a storm?
