I have just joined, and I am taking my first class next week. All Y folks so far have been very friendly, helpful and encouraging.
The new facility is state of the art and very conveniently located.
Easy sign up process with very friendly folks. Hopefully the new gym has additional workout equipment.
It is very convenient since I am an employee at a different school. I don't have to worry about my children being taken care of while I finish up at work. I am also very thankful for the Chatham County Schools employee discount, especially since I have two children participating. The staff is friendly and responsive, and my children really enjoy staying, so that helps out with the mom guilt!
My daughter enjoys going. The councilors are great. Ms Dowdy is phenomenal!
The new Chatham YMCA is not open yet. It is the one I will go to starting in March--the anticipated opening. I did a facility tour and have high hopes for it. Everything is new and modern as well as being technologically advanced. The one concern I have is that the facility seems like it will be too small to accommodate the interest already shown.
My daughter loves the program, the mentors are great and we are so happy for her to have a safe, caring place to go after school.
Kids enjoy time at the Y. Staff is extremely pleasant
Our daughter feels supported while she is there, and enjoys her time with friends and the counselors. The counselors seem to be what she loves the most!

Easy to join
The staff are helpful, competent and courteous. The members seem to follow the guidelines about keeping the equipment sanitary. The facility is clean and operates well.

Once the new YMCA opens in March, it will be the best gym in the area. Just wish they had a sauna and offer martial arts class
