Counselors are awesome. Clearwater activities are classic camp activities. One drawback is the outdoor only setting.

Friendly people and the indoor pool is nice. The facility is a little old but everything is functional.
The Y is welcoming and positive. There is a wonderful variety of people in the exercise classes, too.
I would suggest you put more hooks in the ladies locker room showers, and you go back to a prior practice of offering towels. Thank you.
The club has everything my family needs: a heated pool and a gym with all the necessary equipment. The order and cleanliness are extraordinary. The opening and closing times are perfect.
Clean pool, plenty of chairs and shade. Love the beach entrance to the pool, water fountain and water slide.

The counselors were very nice and there were lots of different activities.
We appreciate that the bus picks the kids up at school, and that outside playtime is prioritized as much as the weather permits. We also appreciate the opportunity to enroll in other activities at the YMCA (for now, just swimming, but as our kiddo ages we are interested in other sports, as well).
In fact, if other programs were offered (i.e., trial soccer, basketball, dedicated art, dance, etc. etc.), we would definitely think about signing up for those for a session, too.

I appreciate the convenience and flexibility of the camp at a very reasonable price. My daughter enjoys the various activities, particularly the chance to swim at a YMCA pool, and all the staff are incredibly friendly and genuinely care about the campers.
Personable Staff and availability of equipment
My daughter says that there are great activities like swimming and art. She also says that she can make friends there. She says that lunch is fun because she has never had lunch outside before at her school. Finally, she says that the counselors are nice. I am quoting her, directly.
The YMCA has been a part of my family for quite sometime, my almost 18yr and 20yr old attended and now my 6 year old! Then and now the YMCA has always been outstanding, which is an understatement! From customer service to camp counselors, after school to summer camp! The life experience’s and memories last a lifetime.. Very positive experience, so far so good!

Camp Clearwater is the best! It is everything you picture when you think “summer camp”: canoes, archery, arts and crafts, swimming, games, woods, sweat, dirt. The counselors are fantastic. My kids have been attending for years and I’m 100% confident that Camp Clearwater will be a core childhood memory.
What I like most about the Chapel Hill-Carrboro YMCA Day Camp experience is that it's fun, engaging, and well-organized. The campers have opportunities to make friends, try new activities, stay active, and build confidence while being supported by caring staff
Very friendly front desk staff , clean facilities, overall comfortable and quiet!
The response from the entire staff exceedes normal standards. If I have a request, whoever I speak with accepts my request or question as their action item.
They don’t just deflect my request back to me. This is the sign of a customer centric philosophy.
Example: if my question needs “Customer service support”, the staff member doesn’t just respond with “you need to contact C.S.”. They say “you need to contact C.S. and here is their phone number” AND THEN THEY FOLLOW UP!!

The instructors are amazing-Henri, Andrea, Joan, Rani. The members are very warm and welcoming. It is a terrific community. And…the bonus is an outdoor pool included in your membership!
