I feel the majority of the teachers are excellent teachers. The classes that I have experienced follow the class description. I appreciate this because it provides a comfort level for me if I do recommend the Y to friends.

Nice facility, friendly and welcoming staff and other members. Variety of activities, strength training, group exercise classes and plenty of exercise machines. Staff are available to assist in learning how to use the equipment, help in developing a personalized training plan. For our younger members there are summer camps, sports camps and afters school programs
The Y is also a community of members who share a common interest in making this institution a unique place to be.
The outdoor pool is wonderful. Wish it could be open longer.
I love the Chapel Hill YMCA. The earlier opening time (5AM) is what has made it work for me. One small piece of feedback -- the men's locker room at the MLK site (adjacent to the swimming pool) just has a really weird smell all the time. I think it's a cleaning product. I have a very weak sense of smell and am rarely bothered by smells so if I notice it it's probably pretty strong.

Rani’s zumba class was full of energy and Si much fun. I would highly recommend her class to all zumba enthusiasts.
The friendly staff and the very clean facility. The pool at Meadowmont is great.
I do have to say that the website is not user friendly. I find it difficult to get info about lap hours at Meadowmont and at Chapel Hill Carrboro.
Our child genuinely loves the program and seems to be doing well there.
