The staff is very friendly and engaging, the facility is fantastic! As an early riser the "Family Swim" hours great, as this is the ONLY location Y in the Triangle with family swim hours before 10 AM! Winter, spring summer and fall!

Convenient. Enough classes at various times and skill levels. The front desk always says hello. Classes aren't too large (yoga) but don't let them get much larger! I like the new shoe cubbies. My classes are covered by insurance. Clean pleasant place.

Staff professionalism and friendliness
I have used my membership for years to work out with child care and take a number of classes. Those months I didn’t make it in I knew my membership money was being put to good use.
It’s convenient with many group class options & very friendly staff.
Loved the indoor pool, more spacious . More equipments spaced out . Also the walking trail . All in one place .

I like the diversity of people who are members and who work there. I love the Thrive classes and everyone I have met in the classes has been extremely friendly. And I have already made a lot of progress since January toward my goals of becoming stronger and more fit.

Nicest fitness facility is Wake Co. Nicest building with the best equipment. The Y peoples are outstanding and friendly. It’s got it all. Pool, classes for everything, free weights and machines, sauna and steam. Towels and lockers

Love the indoor track!!! Very helpful for avoiding the extreme (cold and hot) temps for those of us with heart disease. Also allows me to exercise for a longer period of time
....Love the steam room and sauna.... for post work out and assists in managing diabetes.
Great location and staff
I always appreciate the friendliness of the staff. In most cases, the people working the front desk greet me by name, which creates a very welcoming environment.
One "negative" item to mention for consideration is the parking. I know that the current situation is temporary due to the construction, and recently more spaces were opened in the new lot. Based on those factors, I'm not concerned about the occasional challenge of finding a parking space on a Monday or Tuesday after 5pm. However, I am concerned by patrons who park in no parking areas or pull up onto the curb to park. When people park in the no parking areas, it can make backing in/out of a space difficult because there's not enough room - and it also makes it more dangerous for people walking in the lot. Similarly, it creates problems when people pull up onto the medians park. Yesterday, there was a pick up truck parked for several hours directly on the only sidewalk that connects the back lot/new lot. With the rain, this forced everyone to walk in the dirt and mud to get around the illegally parked car.
I enjoy most the family and community atmosphere. Alexander Family YMCA has been my social outlet for years. It's a great place to meet people and make new friends!!
People are nice. Exercises equitments and bathrooms are cleaned.
