Very clean facility. Friendly staff. Excellent equipment.
Plenty of space!
However the parking is getting obnoxious.
The wide range of times the YMCA is open! It makes is so convenient to attend. Also, the YMCA employees were so friendly and helpful. The facility is so large and there are so many exercise options, from free weights, weight machines, swimming, exercise classes, etc. I am very happy so far with my experience so far.
Good place
Friendly and helpful staff
Great access to a variety of resources
Convenient location
Loved all the equipment!
Clean
But parking was hard due to construction.
All looks great!
Classes.and the pool
Best place for peace of mind.
Everything....need more parking space.
The staff are so kind and welcoming and helpful with ANYTHING! You have everything and anything we need; there’s even a clothing steamer in the women’s locker room so we can get wrinkles out of our work clothes! There’s a bosu so I can practice balancing. Handweights everywhere. And once the music system played the complete Stairway to Heaven during my workout! Y’all rock.
Friendly and helpful staff, great group classes with awesome instructors especially for BodyPump, Agatha Yoga, Pilates, and Barre, good options to work with a personal trainer, awesome classes for kids especially for basketball clinics and team sports.
Not many options for middle schoolers, unfortunately.
Alexander Family YMCA has the best indoor swimming pool compared to the other YMCAs
Organized, principles they teach kids, clean facilities, consistent game schedule
Wholesome, fantastic environment, healthy, fun,
Highly recommended love it
I would like the Alexander Y more even if there was more parking spaces available next to the building at peak times of the day which have become most times during the day.
Friendly, welcoming experience for the whole family.
Good classes and instructors.
It feels like such a community @ the Y
Love the Y! Friendly staff. Many know and call me by name. Great instructors and classes. Do not mind signing up for classes, but really do not like having to swipe in. Hope this changes.
Love the new set-up in the Alexander weight area—is it possible to add a second seated row machine (across from the pec dec/rear delt machine)? That piece of equipment has become incredibly popular and wait times recently have been exceeding 15 minutes on week nights.
Great class offerings
Fantastic pool
Clean locker rooms
I really love this location. It has everything I need and is very well organized. I wonder if the Y might consider enforcing a hygiene code that requires shoes to be worn in the restrooms and at least socks in all the other main public areas. I have seen people leave yoga class in bare feet and use the restroom down the hallway in the public space, and I see people doing exercise in the main gym areas in bare feet.
The new/current equipment well informed by recent trends in the fitness space. Love this. The recent changes are overall fantastic.
Nothing is perfect but one area that seems to not work is the bench press area near the treadmills. Too much equipment that may require a spotter. Never seems to be fully utilized. I do not do bench press without a spotter, I typically use dumbbells at the y instead.
Also the stretch/mirror area near the restroom/fountain on the second floor is awkward given you have machines that face mirrors closely, and not quite enough space to comfortably use that space for stretching etc.
I like the mostly unified area for weights and cables in the back area. I find that sometimes there is no clear path to the far back through this area, but overall love these changes.
It is clean and has equipment needed for a workout. The people are friendly.
Community. Friendly, safe workout environment. Diversity and inclusion. Good equipment and plenty of it.
It’s a great environment to work out and taken care of very well.

Clean space, great machines and inclusive exercise classes.
