I have a teen in the CILT program. My only regret is not signing her up sooner! That said, I recognize that such a large camp might not be a great fit for every kid -- my younger one would have a hard time relaxing in all the chaos. However, for my older one, as a *leader,* this program is ideal. She has always been great with little kids. I let her veg out for the first part of the summer, then snapped up a spot in this program after seeing her bond with a 4yo during a family vacation. I wish her school wasn't about to start. If we had more time, she would stay longer. I hope this gives her the experience to apply for camp counselor jobs in the coming summer, either at the Y or elsewhere.
Seeing how I just joined yesterday, it would make more sense to ask this question farther in the future.

The quality of the facilities. The polite and professional staff. Having an option for a massage is great! I enjoy the sauna and steam room. The affordability is so helpful. I've been a member since 2013 and the Y has been an outstanding resource as a single person and then having a young family. My wife and children are able to use the gym, pool and kid zone almost everyday during summer break. We are so grateful to have a safe and secure facility that helps us live a healthier lifestyle.

Good facility with nice people who work there. My only complaint is the number of people who stare at their phone while sitting on a piece of equipment when someone is waiting to use that piece of equipment. In spite of the signs asking that this not be done, it continues unabated. This rule needs to be enforced.

Our child is having a great week at lake johnson blazing trails camp. We love that she is outside exploring and she has raved about the counselors and experience.
the YMCA is off the charts is almost every imaginable way possible, ten out of ten across the board, however we are not a rich family and paying close to 100 USD for basically 2 weeks of membership is a tad above our economics but ultimately worth it and i am happy to pay just the reason i went nine out of ten instead of ten out of ten (also it seems to be substantially more than we paid last summer for the same arrangement)
