Love the classes and the staff is very nice and friendly!
I like the group exercise classes and the many available exercise options - weights, pools, exercise machines. And I like the mixture of all ages.
From the moment I walked in and was greeted with a warm, friendly smile, I knew I had just found a new lovely place to come and work out.
The staff and instructors are so filled with life and positivity! The facility is extremely clean and I never feel crowded in the dressing rooms.
Being new to the area and a bit shy, it only took moments for me to feel like this is a Y I can grow and feel confident as I get stronger and make new routines with various classes offered!
The pools are great and the time for the classes I like are scheduled at perfect times!

I love water aerobics classes. Will, the instructor at the 9:15 class is great! I am disappointed that several of the deep water have been canceled due to no instructor’s. I hope someone regular can be hired on soon!

The pool is supposed to be heated but sometimes the water is cold.

#2: Lots of different kinds of equipment to choose from. You even have a fairly specialized piece that my physical therapist has used for rehab of should blade injuries.
#3: Socialization
Nir YMCA has a great variety of classes for everyone of all ages with expert instructors. As a newcomer to Wilmington, I have made so many new friends.
The YMCA is an intricate asset to the community families for year round childcare and summer camp.
The YMCA water aerobics classes are part of my daily routine and my health is so much better.

All the staff seems really friendly and so that really helps. And the facility seems really clean and organized and it has everything that I’m looking for.
It starts with the front end. Mona Lisa and Justin are always welcoming and willing to help.
You have a wide variety of class selections and time availabilities.
I have not tried any equipment as of yet but I am anxious to try your new seated elipticals!
The locker rooms are acceptable....I still think a damp cloth inside the lockers would be nice to remove street debries from shoes.

Just recently, several pickle ball players needed to share one-half of the gym with a large group of campers. The campers were SO well-behaved. Their counsellors were terrific with them. The children ended up cheering for us during our game, and providing ball-girl and boy support. It was so much fun for us to see them so involved with our game.

Classes are available for my interests and capabilities. I attend Deep Water Aerobics and Priscilla’s Core Strength class and I am exploring others.
Please encourage Alan, a classmate who is certified to teach water aerobics and who wants to do so. He led us one of the days no instructor was available and did a great job. He explained that he failed once before but one failure doesn’t mean he can’t do it well. We’re short on instructors and he is capable, willing, and qualified. Thanks!
